My family & I initially wanted to eat at Shiro's but there wasn't any room for my mom's wheelchair so we went to Jackie's.It's been years since I last ate here & as I recall the food was pretty good. So I convinced my family to dine here.When our food came we thought the pastele was a bit small. But we were hungry. As we are U kept saying "something doesn't taste right ? Well the Spanish rice was pretty bland. There really wasn't any bacalau in the salad. But that "not right" taste was the pastele. I couldn't believe that they used CORN BEEF! Corn beef instead of pork? WTFH!?!?My mom said some people use corn beef if the pork was too expensive. Ewe!!! But whatever ! IF this was the case then they, Jackie's, should've told us. At least let the customers decide whether or not they want to eat it! So in that aspect Jackie's, in my opinion , didn't, doesn't put their customers first or even think from their perspective.Never eating here again.

I’m puertorrican, 100% !! I’m very particular about my food. I have tried pasteles and gandules rice in different places, ending not liking it.BUT this place puertorrican food was DELICIOSA!! The masa for the pasteles was good a lot of meat, the gandules rice was very good but I can count with my fingers the gandules?. I wished it had more grains. The bacalau salad was good but the bacalau was lost with the lettuce. I was expecting a side of bacalau. I know bacalau is expensive!! And the Mac salad Ono!! Overall, I enjoyed the food and I’ll go back…is always room to improve. Place was very clean and sanitized. My husband enjoyed the Hawaiian food as well and we agreed to come back to have lunch or dinner. Thank you.4 stars…I’ll give the fifth if you add gandules to the rice !! ?
Was a disappointing. I bought dinner for my family ( take out ) order 7 meals. 2 of the patele were salted and other patele didn't have any taste. Then order a bowl of beef stew, PATATO were half cook. Spent over $ 80 .00 dollars. Sorry they need to make some adjustment. Food were good before. ( what happened ) Paying customer.
Had a delicious tripe stew plate, with very good service. Has a big menu with lots of local dishes.
