Can't say I'll be coming back! Went here for lunch and ordered a double cheese burger dirty style. First bite or 2 of the burger was fine, then I noticed the burger patties were mushy. I thought maybe it was a frozen patty or just rare toward the center. Nope! I conclude that the mush I was chewing was more like dough. We asked the waitress twice what the patty consisted of to which she said ground beef and onion. The 2nd time I explained to her the patty was doughy on the inside like the cook used excess flour to bulk up the burger. To which the waitress returned stating flour AND bread is put in the patty. Now I understand food prices are going up and at the same time it's common to use breadcrumbs, flour etc as a binder for meat, but a burger patty shouldn't be 50/50 meat and flour. They also stated its the same recipe they've been using for years. I'm not buying that it's a traditional burger recipe. And I'm sure the same patty meat is used in the Loco moco as well. It's also a hazard to anyone with a gluten allergy who may order it without the bun wrapped in lettuce, not expecting the burger is loaded in flour. If management would like to reach out I have a video they can see that this is not what burger meat looks and feels like

Scrumptious food! Dine-in was out back at the picnic tables (COVID protocols in place). A must stop place for visitors and locals!?

Another local favorite that I found to be meh. However, the people who work here are great, the servings are huge, and they serve breakfast all day! I just wish the food was seasoned more. I will try this place one more time before I write off completely. I just hope I get more flavor next time.

Great food, decent prices, and friendly service. Highly recommend the garlic chicken especially if you like chicken skin, it is super crispy and flavorful. Admittedly, I ate most of my food, but I gave a lot of chicken skin to other people at my table, because it is a hefty meal. A lot of the outdoor seating is shaded and we weren’t bothered by too many flies. A good place to visit for a home style meal, my family really enjoyed it.

For over 50 years, this spot has served generations of local people. The food is fantastic for breakfast, i love the Adobo Fried Rice Omelet, but the pancakes are great, and Loco Moko is great too. There's always a daily special that is of the charts good. My whole family loves this food, I've been going for 30 years.

Long wait times alot of people really like this little restaurant. Outside seating area is super Cute.

Searched for something quick and affordable after visiting the swap meet at Aloha Stadium and found the Forty Niner Restautant. We had garlic chicken with rice & salad, a side of Saimin, and 2 Forty Niner Breakfasts. Everything was INCREDIBLE and so tasty. There is no ambiance, seating outside...but come for the food. The staff's incredible with outdoor seating under mango trees...but per the sign, Do Not Pick the Mangos!

Delicious authentic Hawaiian food, the kalua pork is fantastic.

Ordered to Loco moco original and was so ono

Love the down-home feel here. Huge portions of traditional island plate lunch/breakfast dishes : fried spam, bacon, gravy, white rice, beef patty, egg, salt, etc. Definitely not good for your body’s health, but tasty. (I tried bites of friends’ different orders.)Nice patio in the back with picnic tables & some trees. Parking can be tight.
