**UPDATED** "Lina" was manager on duty that helped with refund for overcharge and she was very helpful and professional. She also expressed apology for the gap in service. Some faith restored as result of her, so I am updating to 3-stars.*ORIGINAL POST* I have dined here multiple times and always had a decent experience. Unfortunately, this past Fathers Day was less than stellar. The waitress was completely inattentive and never revisited us after the initial drink delivery. My granddaughters meal was not even placed so our entire party was done with their Hibachi cooked meals before she even got her meal. When reminded by our cook, she got an attitude. When we approached the manager on duty, she too was short and lacked any empathy. We never received so much as an apology for the poor service. To add insult to injury, I realized today (3-days later) that they charged my credit card for $36.21 more than by printed receipt amount (doubled the tip, which she deserved zero of in the first place). I have called and spoken with manager on duty today and will report back if/how they solve. Suffice to say, I am very disappointed with Volcano as a former repeat customer. Customer service matters and if your employees don't like their job, they should get a new one. P.S. Food quality was good and hibachi chef was awesome.
My brother chose Volcano for his birthday dinner. We had a great time! Our server was courteous and patient with us as we decided what to order. I had the Pink Lady sushi on her suggestion and really enjoyed it! I also had the combination hibachi dinner with chicken and shrimp. Everything was great and we really enjoyed our time here. Note: We did not sit at the hibachi tables instead opting for regular dining table so this review is for the regular dining area only.
First Timer!The service was really slow to get to us at first but once they finally came it was good. We ordered garlic edamame, chicken fried rice, shrimp fried rice, and mango bubble tea. The food was DeLiCiOuS! We will be returning. I am craving those garlic edamames as I write this. lol
Amazing showmanship by every hibachi chef. The food is prepared right in front of you. The vegetables were incredible.
I'm a volcano first timer. Howeveri will most definitely be returning, I think this may have became my new favorite place for sushi. It was very fresh and sort delicious. Service was good. Food tho amazing.
Extremely unhappy with the food. Not worth the price at all. I was charged double when order combination hibachi. Did not have the grill menu and sat where the huge screen TV was. They charge you for each protein price, as if you were getting two entrees. The protein portion size is very small, and they fill you up with rice and charge $2.50 extra for fried rice. Also, I was given a bill without the added tip required for party of 6 and more. I don’t mind the tip charge, but how can you bring a bill and charge $31 extra before the customer sees the actual amount. I was told after I noticed an additional $31 dollars added to my credit card. Basically, they added $31 without my authorization. I am an extremely good tipper and added and addition $40 cash tip to the server because I thought she deserved it. The service was excellent, but my bill was $204 for 5 adults and 1 child before my cash tip. We will not be coming back, and the food was average. Definitely not excellent to charge what they charge. Overpriced for sure!
Fun place to celebrate my Aunt’s 97th birthday. Food was good and the restaurant is very nice. Service was good too
Dom was fantastic. He was funny and entertaining. The ginger dressing was watery and soup wasn't the best. Also I believe the receipt, they give should break down what has been charged. That way you make sure you are not paying for someone else meal, as that has happened before at other establishments. Food was decent. I would return. They should give you icecream or sherbet at the end ?
Loud, service wasn’t great, food was mediocre! My wife asked for a cocktail. Had to remind the waiter for it. It was so bad, we asked to swap it for sake but he refused to take the cocktail and forgot to bring the Sake. Bartender brought it to us just as we were done with our dinner. Waiter charged us for the go tail anyway! Noticed on our way out the food rating was a C! Wish I had never stepped foot in there but I won’t again and if you want a good meal and good atmosphere with a serve that will treat you right, DO NOT GO HERE!
First time here. Good food with very large portions. I had the steak hibachi and it was great. I did not try the sushi, next time. The hibachi chef was very entertaining and personable with everyone in our party. I would recommend this place.
