Waited 15 minutes along with car in front of me in the drive thru... The thing you go to when you want to... Well drive through and be on your way. Finally called to ask if the drive thru was closed or something. Was informed that they stopped serving the drive thru because they had to-go orders that take priority........ Will not be back. HORRIBLE SERVICE.
Had been a while since my last visit. They've implemented some changes to reduce staff. You now place your order and pay when entering at a computer. They call out your order number when your food is ready so you can go fetch it. You fix your own beverage and then buss your table when done. Looks like they can manage now with about 3 employees. Food is the same as I remember.
I just wanted to say that today 4/27/22 @1:30pm, I received the absolute best customer service, by far the best service I’ve ever experienced in a drive thru… The 2 ladies that served me were kind, friendly, helpful and patient, I didn’t get any eye rolls and huffs for asking for a certain kind of sauce… Way to go Steak n Shake with those 2..
Not loving the new steak n’ shake. No waiters and have to do everything myself. Missing the old steak n’ shake. Every waiter and waitress was so friendly back then. Disappointed
I don’t think I’ve ever left a review on anything but we just visited here tonight- and left with 10 fries in a Dixie cup and a completely plain, bone dry, double steak burger. It was almost a little funny and not normally something I’d care to complain about, but considering their prices have only gone up I’d at least appreciate some ketchup on a burger?? We called and were essentially just told it was our fault because we “didn’t say we wanted anything on the burger”- however I know I specified everything besides tomatoes. Just not a place I’d recommend if you actually want your money’s worth or a decent meal.
My nephew has been stuck on a particular chicken chain milkshake, the one with the big C. Anyways, I let him know about steak 'n shake and how wonderful their milkshakes were / our. So we pulled through after a day of shopping and I order him his favorite cookies and cream and my favorite strawberry which led to us also grabbing a steak burger but she absolutely loved! Super friendly service followed by quality hot food makes this a wonderful steak and shake!
Order from kiosks, no waiters or waitresses, pick up my own food and clean off my table. Somehow twice the cost.. if I wanted McDonald’s I’d go there.. it’d save me money. I can’t even get in the ihop parking lot across the street and this place is empty on a Sunday afternoon. We wont be back.
Like the new QSR format in the dining room. Owner was out talking to people and was very nice. Restaurant was clean and food was good. Thank you doing things right.
I don't write reviews this is my first one if I could give 0 star I will, today I went to the drive thru and order, but the lady who took my order was talking so rude, rising her voice very loud, she definitely was not giving the service that she should, I was with my kids and even they ask me why she is talking like this to you? I said is just rude people we don't have to be that way specially if you want people to come and buy your stuff, I drive ahead to pick up the order, and I who took my order and she said it was me I saw her tag name WALTON.I just say thank you and took my order, but I will never come back to this place I prefer to drive to a different location than to hear her again.
They are on point, new owner. Best service and food is back to awesome. Very friendly people.
