There are a ton of fried hot chicken places around Atlanta but this is one of my favorites due to the crispy breading in various flavors, variety of delicious dipping sauces, and fun sides (I love their seasoned fries!).At this specific location, Devonne is one of the best employees I have ever met. She provided exceptional service and checked on us throughout the meal just to make sure we had everything we needed.
Whoever was working today 7/27 around 1:30/2pm was fantastic. The nicest guys, I hope the owner appreciates them. Good workers are hard to find especially in the food industry. Very nice guys. The one who took our order gave my son a free soda cup because he was one angry and miserable little boy today. We were so impressed with how nice they were, real gentlemen. Lunch was great!
I really like the tenders here. I always get the 2 tenders (hot), a side, and a drink deal and it's always fresh and good. Tried the banana pudding on my most recent visit and enjoyed that as well. Whenever we are craving hot chicken we come here. Employees are nice and friendly, restaurant is clean.
First off let me start by saying best first experience in a fast food restaurant. Casie or however you spell it took her time explaining the menu and letting us know what fits us best also not rushing us and being patient. The food came out hot and fresh. Coolest experience ever!
I usually love the Woodstock Joellas. My husband and I went yesterday and service/cashier was friendly but chicken was terrible. I’m Posting a picture of my order from yesterday (my husband’s was the same as mine) and my order from a few months ago. Both the exact same order. Also a picture of what is advertised on this page. I paid extra for dipping sauce and not even enough chicken to use it. I had to make two sandwiches when I got home. #nationalfriedchickendaydisaster
I went to Joellas today and had a great experience. I ordered the lunch special and asked for one chicken tender to be grilled and the other to be fried with parmesan garlic fries. The parmesan garlic fries are super yummy! My food came out hot and fresh but instead of my chicken being one fried and one grilled, they both were grilled. The new GM came over and introduced himself and asked if everything was to my satisfaction. I told him that they messed up my chicken order. He immediately apologized and went to the kitchen and came back with a big, hot, fresh, juicy, fried chicken tender. It was delicious!! The batter on that chicken tender is better than all the competitors. To really taste the batter ask for the chicken dry. They use an infused oil like Nashville hot chicken and you can’t taste that delicious batter with it. Their chicken is also bigger and juicier. I don’t understand why this place isn’t packed. The atmosphere is very hip and upbeat with a variety of music playing. It was refreshing to see the GM checking each guest to make sure they were happy. All in all I was very impressed. I will be back!
My experience was not good. When I pulled up to order, I waited about five minutes to see if anyone would acknowledge I was there. I've worked in fast food, so I know sometimes they are busy. However, the place was not busy which should have been my first sign. Finally I said ,"Hello." A man finally answered, but he was rude when taking my order. He cut me off several times and was trying to get me to order as quickly as possible but also telling me he could not hear me. He was rude at the window as well. He did greet us, but obviously did not want to be friendly and seemed as if he felt above serving people. Then he forgot one of our drinks, but shut the window and walked away before we could get the other.We were pulled around to wait on our food, and the woman who brought us our food had gloves on like she worked in the kitchen. She nicely gave us our food and got us our other drink. However I do not know if she changed her gloves when she went back inside or why she did not take them off to begin with. It's a health code violation if she did not change them, which is probably one of the reasons they have an 88.They also do not have their signature sodas which is not the employees fault but management and supply chain. The food tasted ok. It was too dark but not burned which makes me think it has been fried in old oil.Management needs to inspire their employees and create a better and safer food environment. I will most likely never eat here again as I do not want to waste money and leave angry. This place used to be a lot better but has obviously went down hill.
We came here when they first opened and never went back. It's definitely not a place that I would return often. The food is wayyy over priced! You are paying double for fast food meals, but the guy we worked there was very nice. But dining room needs to be wiped down.
Some of the juiciest chicken I've ever eaten. Doesn't taste like "fast food" even though it is.
I had the chicken wings and the chicken tenders combo with waffles and they were delicious the hot chicken tenders were not spicy so I asked for their hottest sauce but I feel like it needs more flavor. The sauce was very spicy but it had only kicked no real seasoning. I love the customer service they were amazing. I want to come back and try more your stuff. The mac and cheese was super creamy and delicious.The waffles were very good especially with the butter.
