So I started by ordering the steak and the green beans I asked for the green beans to be crunchy and they ended up giving me over cooked steak and green beans.I asked for a medium well and they give me a well done.So I had to return it and then I asked for the whiskey burger instead the whiskey burger does not have any salt and the burger I asked for it to be undercooked and it was over cooked as well overall but experience would never come here again if you’re a picky eater leave.Too expensive and it’s not a pleasurable experience
Let me say first off , MARISSA is the hardest working young lady I’ve seen in a while!! :)We stopped in for lunch and it was just beginning to get moderately busy. No wait time for ordering . Marissa got our order right in . When kitchen missed something , she caught it immediately and fixed it . (Keep in mind that all restaurants are shorthanded right now. Marissa was running 7 to 10 tables by herself from what we saw. That included going to the bar to make drinks for those tables.) They did seem short staffed, but everything flowed nicely. We had our usual fair and it was delicious as always. Price is as usual for chain restaurants. We’ll be back ! Thanks ,Marissa ! :)
Why pay good money for mediocre food and service. We drive by this place dozens of time a month, just not an Applebee's fan, but had decent meals at another location in Virginia. We were 'not' greeted upon arrival, as in not 'acknowledged' (not even a grunt) by the waiter guy. After an awkward pause he finally said 'this way'. The waitress got tipped, she was ok, but the food was minuscule, not prepared correctly, lacking all flavor and in particular the $18 steak ordered was a literal 'hockey puck' cooked FAR beyond the medium I requested. I ask for another steak - which I never do because it means one person watches another eat their meal - but I thought it worth not settling. While the original plate w/ onions n mushrooms and mash potatoes sat there 'congealing'... a second steak arrived, just the steak! So warm steak ice cold sides, who does that! Both steak were so tough you could barely cut them. I did not eat either and no I did not ask for them to comp it. I appreciate the servers and cooks situation, have family and friends who serve(d), but if the staff and management really don't care that much...just close shop! When you aren't even offered a 'hello' upon arrival...there's a problem. I can drive to Longhorn just up the road and pay a couple more bucks and get a great steak seasoned well and nice staff. Also note the restaurant was almost empty at dinner time, red flag number 2. Buyer beware.
Pub waffle fry appetizer is new to the menu, not my favorite. Garlic green beans kind of flavorless. French dip sandwich- delicious. Great drink too and the server was very nice. Went around 4 o’clock, sat quickly, not many people here, so food and drink came very quickly.
We called ahead for a small birthday dinner only 8 people for 7pm. We arrived at 6:45 and were seated. We ordered at 7pm. At 8:15 the first plates came out. Prior to this we were told 5-6 minutes three times. The food was old, cold and missing. They failed to tell us they ran out of pretzels then said they failed to make them. Service was fair, manager never came to the table until they were told we were not paying for the food. Do not come here all you get is an excuse and you waste your time.
Absolutely amazing service and location, Cedric was an awesome waiter he was on top it with making sure we had plenty of drinks and was such a friendly person as well. He definitely deserves a raise!!!!
Kelsey was our server today. She was nice and professional. Thank you.Steak was a bit tough but a sirloin steak is on the tougher side. ?
Great food and the service was great. They were a little understaffed, but that didn't take away from the hospitality. Would recommend this place if you're visiting the area!
After basketball practice I felt the need to get a free meal as service and messed up meals were standard for this place. So me and my son went to Applebee's and greeted and sat promptly. Mattie was our server and was incredible. Kept our drinks full and anything we needed she was back quickly. Excellent service the food was great and correct and we enjoyed every moment this visit. Thank you Applebee's and Mattie for making me pay finally for a great experience which I will be happy to do again. Keep the changes or keep doing this great service in a lacking industry.
Went here for a weekday lunch, great service. Our waitress was very attentive and made sure we had everything we could possibly need.
