Poor management. Went on Friday, May 6, 2022, with my family - party of 14. 9 adults and 5 children. Arrived at approximately 6:45. We were seated immediately. The waitresses were working as hard as they could go and ours was so very kind. We learned later that two large parties (50+ in each) had just been seated before us. We waited. The waitress took our orders, and at about 8:45 we began to get our food---- one. plate. at. a. time with about 5 min intervals. There was not a clean table in the restaurant when the hostess attempted to seat a family of four. She walked this party around the restaurant before she finally realized she had to clean a table in order to seat them. The food could've been good, but we were past hungry when it finally began to be served. I felt so very sorry for the waitresses--- they could not keep up with the number of people they were trying to serve. Manager? Hostess? What were you thinking? Nope. Won't be back.
It wasn't bad. A little pricey and the fish was a little undercooked for my liking. But all around pretty good. The fried pickles were excellent. I had the broiled stuffed flounder and really didn't prefer deviled stuffed crab. I'd honestly keep it regular for better taste. Salad bar was great too. But it was really on the cold side, almost too cold lol. It was good though.
I was seated. Placed my order. Then watched 3 parties come in after me and receive their meals while I'm still waiting for my food which never came. The manager didn't even attempt any corrective action. I guess that's just how they do business. I wish there was a to give a -negative score.
I’m not sure what has happened to captain Joe’s but, I had the worst experience tonight. I called in an order for 3 surf and turf meals, all 3 the same. When my daughter got home there were no fan tail shrimp like the person taking my order and I had discussed. To my surprise when I called back to find out what happened to my shrimp, it had been the manager that took my order. He told me all he heard was ribeye and if it was any consolation, he only charged me for ribeye’s. Well for 89 dollars and change for 3 meals of steak, baked potato and steamed broccoli you would think the it would have been a good meal. If not for the baked potato I would have went hungry. The steak was thin, dry and tough as it could get, the broccoli was still raw. I could never order from here again. Very disappointed, 2 stars was a stretch. I included a picture of what was supposed to be a piece of hand cut, tender and juicy ribeye.
Food wasn't very good, portions not like I'd expect for 2 person platter, shrimp was salad shrimp fried, order wasn't correct I subbed out clam but arrived back to hotel to clam. I've received better seafood for better price in North Dakota. The fries and Mac cheese wasn't edible.75$
I very highly recommend!!▪︎You WILL leave stuffed like a tick ready to pop, with enough left over to bring home!▪︎Know they are short staffed due to the reason, no one wants to work, and the ones who ARE there working, are busting their hind ends to serve YOU, so be patient, & be kind, & don't forget to TIP YOUR SERVER!!!You will not be disappointed, it's SO WORTH THE WAIT. Atmosphere was inviting and pleasant. The place was clean, the salad and soup bar stocked enough, I only noticed the ranch was was low, so I opted for bleu cheese, (taking into consideration of them short staffed).A great variety of different types of food.I ordered catfish filets diner with collard greens as a side; came with 2 hush-puppies, and the salad bar, $18.99.Folks, just go try it.
Our family came here after a funeral. They were well prepared for us when we arrived with menu's at each place setting. The servers were pleasant and professional and did a great job with a large group. I had grilled fish and a baked potato and the salad bar. All of it was great, the salad bar had plenty of good choices and the fish had great flavor and was served over rice and two hush puppies which were excellent. I dont usually eat much of the hush puppies, but I ate ALL of both of mine...they were that good. The tea was good and I appreciated they put pitchers of tea and water on the tables for us. The entire staff did a great job and everyone that I was around really enjoyed the food. The fried shrimp looked wonderful. Very well organized, in a separate room for privacy which we appreciated.
Just came home from eating dinner here. Was a very nice experience. The scallops were delicious. So were the onion rings. Salad bar was excellent! The crab legs were small and very salty, so I couldn't eat them all. They have Pepsi drinks which is great. Had Root beer. No liquor served.
Great salad bar, although it was out of soup bowls. We had to tell a waitress and waited for a kitchen helper to bring some. They forgot the crackers. Decent prices and friendly wait staff.
The waitress was extremely nice she took the time to sing my nephew happy birthday and the few was good the waitress name was Kristy .good place to eat
