This place is a ghost of it's former self. They have a waterwheel with no water. A fish tank with no fish. The steak was tough and chewy. The scallops were overcooked. The sushi was good. The staff was friendlish. They acted as if they didn't need or want a customer. It was enjoyable for what it was. A pinch of a piece of a once great place. Now sullen greasy and $300 for the food. They include the tip because after the service you get. You won't leave it voluntarily. Won't be back. Got sick diarrhea vomiting etc 24 hours after eating the eel sushi. Md said possible food poisoning. I'm called the health inspector.Department of Public Health - Houston County Health Department.
I go here every time I'm in Warner Robins. Great food, great atmosphere, and things are reasonably priced. Service is good, though they're often a little understaffed. Wait time for food is not bad, though. Also, if you ask for beer, they give you a giant frosted mug of the stuff!Jenifer is very prompt and personable, and took good care of us. She also may have cheekily told me to leave a Google review if I liked the place so much, so here we are.
We noticed this little Japanese steakhouse tucked in behind a shopping plaza and wanted to try it, so tonight we went for dinner. We got a booth, so can’t speak for the grill seating experience. We walked in, and the place is low-lit, and I was a bit turned off by the smell inside. To me it smelled like a very old restaurant with old grease…. almost left to be honest. We ordered the hibachi chicken which came with a huge serving of chicken and vegetables, fried or white rice and soup and a small salad. The food was decent, but not great. The ginger dressing wasn’t very good, and the ‘yummy sauce’, not what we expected I guess. When we prayed over our meal, we prayed a little ‘extra’ since we just didn’t feel the place was that clean.I hate to leave a bad review, but my husband says I need to be honest even with the not as good experiences. We have been trying as many places as possible in Warner Robins and surrounding areas, searching for great food! The search continues!PS….. we are still wondering if we should have ordered the ‘EXTRA Yummy Sauce’?! ??Sometimes you just have to laugh..
This place is great! We got a seat right away, the staff were taking proper sanitation procedures, and our waitress, Jennifer, was very friendly and had suggestions that definitely won me over with her. Even though she didn't know too many answers to some of my questions, she still did awesome! Whatever she didn't know, the amazing sushi chef (didn't catch his name, but he was a bald man above average height) behind the sushi bar could answer for her and towards the end of the meal, he made us a special cucumber side dish that I literally inhaled because it was insane! The menu is also very reasonably priced compared to other Japanese restaurants in the area. And don't even get me started on the bartenders' drink skills! 10/10 definitely recommend.
The most unflavored food Ive ever eaten. So bad I’m writing this review while still at the table. Nothing is seasoned and the sauces are watered down. First and last time coming. Go to Meakans.
Title says it all. All their sauces have wheat. Same with sushi rice. They are unable to state what meals can be made gluten free. They are no longer gluten free or gluten friendly. Food is great, but if you have celiac’s, then AVOID!
Great waitress! Food was average and tasteless. We had California roll sushi that was just ok. Each of us had different dinners but none were great!
Amazing patient waiter while friends caught up. Beef noodles; ThankYou sushi; House fish soup; Drinks. ??
While this restaurant has been in business for many years, the great service from years past seems to have waned. We arrived for dinner at 8:15, which seems to be an ok time for dinner. The restaurant was full and we took a seat about twenty-five minutes later. However, as we began to order, everything seemed to be rushed. We received silverware late, had to ask for napkins, and while ordering sushi, was told it was not a good idea to order the sushi dinner. From there, everything just seemed rushed, as if they were ready to close up. The hibachi cuisine was just so-so. Chicken was overcooked and dry. The steak was pretty good, while the scallops were overcooked. This may sound strange, but when doing Japanese at a Japanese steakhouse, you would hope for a Japanese chef. If I'm eating Mexican, I hope that the food is prepared by a Mexican chef. The same for Chinese food and Italian fare. Maybe there just aren't many Japanese chefs anymore ?♂️?? Too much to ask for??
This place is absolutely unprofessional we got there at 7 in the afternoon and we didn’t leave until 10:30. We were a group of 12 and watched two different families come in get their food and drinks. The sever was very rude and would not allow us to order because she stated she would get the drinks first, we had to call the front desk after sitting 30 min for her to come bring out drinks. Once she brung drinks she left again for another 30 min and we sent someone else to get her again the service from our cook was however excellent but this place needs to be more organized. I spoke with a manager and her response was something about being short staff due to Covid but that was not true because we had people come in after us received service. I have worked in the food service business for over 12 years and I know what to expect. This place needs to close down until they get better staff.
