Not knowing the menu, I had a taste for spicy beef and asked for a recommendation. The owner suggested Steak a la Mexicana. So good! The cook added fresh jalapeno to the steak for added heat. The steak was tender. The lettuce was topped with avocado, tomatoes, onions, and cilontro. The meal is served with corn or flour tortillas. Everything was served hot. Before I forget, chips and salsa were served when I was seated.Very authentic food. Good service. You will be charged a extra fee for debit/credit purchases. Restrooms are clean.
I have always enjoyed Luna. The Birria taco is my absolute favorite! I was very excited to show my friends this restaurant because it was authentic Mexican cuisine. We ordered takeout for the first time. I got tacos which I enjoyed as always, however my friends ordered 2 Carne asada meals (comes with rice and beans) for 15.99 each, and the amount of meat was disappointing. It was a lot of onion and about 5 pieces of steak. I felt so bad because I boasted about this restaurant to them. I called the restaurant to inform them and hopefully, to be honest, assuage my disappointment. After talking to a few people at Luna, they said I could add more meat for 6.99. I thanked them for their time but did not take their offer. I'm saddened my friends will not return to this restaurant because I know that it's capable of so much more.
Husband and I ordered 2 carne asada meals to go and we paid 35$ for 5 small pieces of steak and a whole onion (came with rice and beans). When we saw the amount of food we were sorely disappointed. We called the restaurant to inform them of the (what we thought was) mistake, but we’re told that what we received is the size of their meal. The only solution offered was to add more steak for 6.99.This meal was 15.99Margarita’s Mexican Grill down the road gives three whole skirt steaks for 19.80I would rather pay the 3.90$ more for 5x the food down the road and better customer appreciation. This was our first and last visit.
Tried this place over the weekend, I ordered one of the tacos Al pastor and a burrito. The pork was a little on the dry side for my taste but overall was pretty good. The burrito was stuffed with a ton of meat so that is a plus. The salsa and chips were great though so that made up for the slightly dry pork. I would try this place again but I would probably order something different.
We had a bad experience. We totally understand today's employee challenges. We were seated, then another table was seated at the same time. We waited for a server while watching the other table get chips, drinks and order their meal while we were still waiting for a server. I would have been okay if someone would have just explained why we were waiting. Finally we just left and ate somewhere else.
Pretty good value, tasty food, average service. If you don't like cilantro you probably will not like there's salsa. The chips are really nice and tasty however. I had the enchiladas supreme from the lunch menu and it was very filling.
The food was ok. The meat had flavor, but tortillas weren't fully cooked. The bread for the total was stale. Our waiter was nice. The salsas were good.
Man what a great taqueria. The night shift staff was very polite and helpful. The Birria tacos were the best I've had in a long time. I highly recommend this establishment . Looking forward to our next visit when we are in the area in the future!!
If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. I am so, so, so picky about my Mexican food, and this place hands down is the real deal with authentic dishes and their own beautiful takes on classics. Fresh tortillas, great services (shoutout to the waitresses that are always so happy and kind), with special note to their carnitas street tacos, salsa verde, and delicious horchata.
Great place for authentic Mexican flavors. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I really enjoyed the hand made tortillas.
