This is great bbq! The fried okra, baked beans, potato salad and slaw was all great. For sure worth a stop! The only complaint I had was not about the food but the two employees talking so loud you could hear their entire conversation all over the restaurant, talking about somebody they know, drama stuff. But they repeatedly used the F word. very inappropriate all while families where dinning in restaurant.
I love GA bobs. But just had the worst experience with them. I normally go to one in Macon so it was my first time at this location. I live about 5 minutes away and by the time I got home and unraveled my sandwich, the bread was so soggy it’s like you found it floating in a river. It had the consistency of wet toilet paper. Just fell apart. Completely inedible and a textural nightmare. I asked for mayonnaise packets, didn’t get any. I asked for two types of bbq sauce on the side, only got one. And my sweet potato tots were also super soggy to the point where I had to air fry them. It was a complete waste of money and just a totally bad experience. Won’t be coming back to this location again.
I love the food from here because it TASTES GOOD…. That’s it. But. The portions are VERY small. This is a “portion” of a full order chicken salad. No. I’ve also gotten a brisket sandwich and the portion was small. Please. Up the portions. If I pay $16 for chicken salad…I need more.
Want some good Bar B Que? This the place ( other than mine ) Get your pulled pork, brisket , Brunswick stew, coleslaw, etc......
Their Brunswick stew is the best. Their chicken salad is ok. But their BBQ, not so good. Their pickle slices ?. But, what beats everything is I asked for spicy sauce to go with my platter and sweet sauce to go with mine. How are you supposed to tell the difference?
Georgia Bob’s quality has gone downhill!! I’ve tried all 4 of the restaurants and they’ve all been horrible!!! The food quality is just bad. Maybe they expanded too quick
The staff is always extremely friendly and the food is amazing! Highly recommend them if you want some good bbq and their bbq sauce is my favorite of any bbq place in town.
I am very sorry that I can’t recommend this location The BBQ was soupy and tasteless - the sides were bland Maybe they had a bad day but there are too many other places near by for me to visit again
This is my second favorite bbq joint. However, I have lost count of how many times my order has been wrong. Tonight for instance, I really wanted Brunswick stew and a bbq sandwich. But since my sandwich has been repeatedly wrong, I ordered a bbq plate so I could make the sandwich myself. With Brunswick stew as one of the sides. I get home and in place of my stew is potato salad. And it was after close by the time I realized it. And it’s not just this location. My visits to the location on Riverside drive have also been met with wrong orders. I work in customer service and have worked in food service. I understand things can happen. But every visit in the past year? I’m done spending my money here.
Operating through drive thru only for covid purposes which is great although even if you call your order in you still have to go through drive thru to pay for your food. Today i ordered my food and expressed that i needed it cooked crispy and after parking and waiting all of 20 mins for my chicken tenders and fries i got my food only for it to be soggy and falling to pieces. I am very dissatisfied especially knowing the parent branch does not accept this. Very dissatisfying
