I do not recommend Georgia Bobs Brunswick stew. It’s terrible. Awful!!! I’ve tasted a lot of Brunswick stew in my time. My mom would make it homemade. But the Brunswick stew at this place is not at all what I would call “Brunswick Stew”. By far the worst I’ve ever tasted in my life. And put in one of those measly round plastic containers that dipping sauce comes in. The audacity to charge $2.00 for this and call it ‘Brunswick stew’. It should be called “tasteless mush” because that’s exactly what it looks like and taste like “mush”. After taking one little taste I couldn’t eat it!!!! I had to give it to my dog!!!!
It was our first time there so things were a little confusing as to where you place your order. Then when we did get our food there was no sauce and we had to go back and inquire about the barbecue sauces.
It was good. It was almost like It reminded me of Smokin pig restaurant all way In Macon that was from a long long long time ago when we was smaller but was also good. The fries n the green beans were good my sister Niyah said we need 2 go there more often n she was right. I rate Georgia Bobs BBQ 8 out of 10
I never leave reviews. This place was awful. Ice in my cup had had a orange and grey looking blob in it. Waited forever for the food. Nobody knew what they were doing. I got a cheeseburger. Every real BBQ place usually has a smacking amazing burger. This was a nasty frozen burger. Fries were mushy. My husbands pulled pork tasted like it was boiled in a stove with no taste. Worst restaurant experience I have ever had by far.
The food was COLD. The cashier was not friendly and could not count change. We gave her correct coins and she keyed it in wrong and cheated us out of .20 cents. I know that is not a lot but she was very rude. The Brunswick stew was awful. Very disappointed! Will not be coming back.
We loved this plave last year. Not so much this year. Very poor customer service. Wings order took way to long and was burned. Wings were not edible.
When you're in the mood for Barbecue you have that anticipation. When it comes to you that first whiff of smoke let's you know that you're "home". SO imagine my disappointment when I ordered 2 full racks of ribs for delivery and they arrived in timely fashion, but when I opened that bag I got not a hint....not the barest whiff of smoke. They were piping hot, but not the first sign that they had been anywhere near a smoker. Biting into them that lack of smoke flavor was confirmed. I know that Georgia Bob's used to be on the competition circuit. Their Cue used to be reliably good. So what happened I do not know. Perhaps they've started to cut corners, maybe they (like a lot of places) can't get good help these days. But frankly these Ribs were extremely disappointing. My gut was telling me that these ribs were par-boiled and then finished on a grill, without every being truly smoked. At least they had the texture that such a process would produce ( a tad tough with a lack of break down in the connective tissue). The complete lack of smoke ring or smoke flavor adds to the suspicion. Maybe it was just a bad night. Whatever the reason, excuse, answer is, it will be a long time before I plunk down $50 for 2 racks of ribs from Georgia Bob's again.
Wasn't satisfied with the food. Ribs were very small and the stew was watered down. It hasn't been like this before.
Worst service ever. After sitting in the driveway thru behind someone that took over 5 minutes finally decided to go inside to oder and my order took over 30 minutes for a to go. Completely unacceptable. I could understand if I was eating in.
The ribs are always tough, garlic bread cold, sides are small and seem to come out of a can. The pulled pork and the chicken salad are the only thing that keeps this place a float. Over priced
