Not sure why there is always an issue with this restaurant, but ordering in the drive through is never easy or fast (And, I understand they advertise they cook to order, but there are restaurants you can go in and eat faster than ordering from this restaurant). Today, I pulled in line behind two cars and was stuck for over 20 minutes waiting to order a milkshake. I finally made it in front of the order kiosk and waited for 17 of those minutes. After I was asked to wait, and did for 17 minutes, I asked if I could order and was told to wait a little longer because they were having some issues, so I left with five more cars waiting behind me. Maybe these customers will have better luck than I did. I left and drove to the Arby's down the street and ordered a shake and was through with shake in hand in less than four minutes--and two cars were ahead of me.
I wouldn't even give one star but in order to give review you have too. They use to be a great place to go, use to have waitresses to wait on you, now you use a kiosk and order and add tip on kiosk, the waitresses now just call out your name or number and you get your own drinks and walk up to get a tray, not a personable place anymore. Waitress they did have does not talk to customers or check on anything, you do it ALL yourself. Might as well be considered like a McDonald's or something because that's what it turned into. Very dissatisfied with the changes, but ONLY my opinion.....smh sad way to reopen the doors to the public again
The food we got was OK, and the service was good! But were were very disappointed to find chicken fingers were not on the menu anymore, so we had to make a second stop to feed our younger kids who don't like burgers or hotdogs. Also my chili cheese fries had the tiniest bit of shredded cheese on them instead of the cheese sauce that's my favorite part!
Was surprised to find self service menu screens to place your order as opposed to talking to a "real" person. Was simple enough to figure out, and I felt like there's no mistaking how I wanted my burger dressed? In spite of the cashier crash course, it was a pleasant experience. My burger was the best I've had in a really long time, made exactly as I ordered.I highly recommend this restaurant for it's cleanliness, accuracy in food prep, reasonably short wait time and the delicious food. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I have been coming here since I was young. This was one of my grandpa's favorites places to eat. Well he would be so mad. We walk in and its deserted. Only two workers in the building. Neither of them even acknowledge anyone entered the building. One kisko out of four open. We ordered and No receipt printed from the kisko! We go to the self serve drink area and they have no cups! Mind you this is an hour after they opened. This should still be stocked. We try to get someone attention were ignored.. We finally get cups after 8 minutes. The fountain drinks are flat! We go sit and then your food gets set on a counter and a number called out. No music. No friendly waiters or waitresses. The food was not as hot as usual but it wasn't cold. The food was decent and the floors looked cleaner than usual. Overall I won't be back. My papa would have walked out when he noticed the kiskos and no one said hello.
It’s was ok. You have to Order on kiosk now - dine in and take out. There was no waitress, really no person contact except when the cook brought our food out. The coke was out and there was no tea. I think the menu has been changed since I last ate at a Steak ‘n Shake. It seemed they had cut the menu to only burgers and fries, and a grill cheese option.
We are visiting here from out of town and decided to stop in here for a late lunch. Boy, was that a mistake! We ordered 3 butter burger meals and adouble steak burger meal. We waited a good minute for our food. When Ezekial finally brought our food we were trying to figure out who everything belonged to and discovered that each butter burger had a heaping tablespoon of solid butter or whatever it was slapped on a cold bun. We asked about the butter and Zola informed us that all butter burgers come with a "glob" of butter on them and it has always been that way. She was very rude and did not even offer to fix it. The soda machine was broken and no one attempted to fix it the whole time we were there. Ezekial was amazing even though he was dealing with an entire restaurant of disgruntled customers on his own. His customer service skills were the only thing that saved the situation. There were no spoons to eat milkshakes with either, and a few people were complaing about that...we will never make that same lunch choice again!
Walked in and had to order at the kiosk. Waited over 1 hour for our food. Half of it was missing. What we got was cold and the burgers were overcooked. Asked for help and was told that they had to finish fixing everyone else's missing order items. 15 minutes asked for a refund for our missing items but told could not get a refund but we could wait for them to cook what was missing. After waiting over an hour for the first time we left with nothing and will not be back. Horrible service and poor management.
The restaurant looked deserted, except for two random cars in their parking lot. We always loved their shakes and it had been awhile since we stopped by this location. So, we went through the drive-thru and it took them awhile to respond. Apparently, they were out of shakes. The word "shake" is a key item in their business name, but apparently, no shakes at Steak 'n Shake.
