A very tasty RIB meal that we ended up packing away half of, for another supper. Highly suggest that you come here for the rib trio. Their salad bar was also excellent. Service was also very good, very friendly staff, with smiling young folks. We were given the menus and had our order taken quickly and given plates for the salad bar and at the end - bowls for the desert

If we pass through Valdosta during dinner time, we usually will stop here. it may be the best in Georgia. However, I personally have several that are as good in North Georgia. The helpings are very large. You won't leave hungry. During Covid, they closed the Salad bar. However, I was there Memorial Day weekend (2022) and the Salad Bar had returned. The staff is always friendly.

I ordered the quarter chicken which was moist. Fixings of mamas sweet potato soufflé was great. My husband ordered a large order of baby backs and was disappointed. I tasted a couple and didn’t like them either. Our dog will be very happy. The salad bar for 1.99 add on is worth it and includes dessert bar. That was the best part. Place is adorable inside.

Fried green tomatoes and fried pickles were really good. Beware of the fried okra, though; seems like they cook a lot at a time, and you may get the greasy leftovers.

I burned the ribs I was smoking for my daughter's birthday Saturday night, so I packed the family up and brought them here, hoping to get some good ribs to make up for my mistake. My family of 7 got sat fairly quickly, which was good considering we were hungry. Ordered the fried green tomatoes and fried pickles to start with; they came out fairly quickly, and you could tell that at least the tomatoes were breaded by hand. They were pretty tasty and came with the requisite ranch (tomatoes) and horseradish sauce (pickles). We ordered dishes all around with a myriad of choices: beef brisket, ribs, fried okra, fries, potato salad, etc. The food was warm, not hot, but they were busy, so maybe it sat in the window a bit? The brisket was just okay; it had a line of fat along the top of each piece, and this was on two sandwiches and two portions from combos. That was disappointing, especially on a sandwich. The St. Louis style ribs were pretty standard, nothing to write home about. Definitely on the leaner side. The fried okra tasted like they had made a lot at one time, and I got the bottom of the stack... very greasy and soggy. Overall, nothing to write home about, and especially not something I would rate as one of the "top 10" BBQ restaurants in the country as their billboards announce.

As a pit master I was impressed with their BBQ. Had the burnt ends and baby back ribs with Mac and cheese and beans as my sides. To be honest was not impressed with the ribs. No smoke ring and they fell off the bone (I’m more of a competition style rib that you have to bite off and like a good crust on the outside). Friend I was dining with opted for the salad bar which I should have got as well as it looked very fresh. The burnt ends were definitely the star of the show and our server was very nice and attentive. Offered me a platter combo that was worth the money. All in all descent bbq.

We had the WORST experience with Shanae (sp?), supervisor at Smok'n Pig BBQ in Valdosta, on 3/19/22. She was extremely rude to us regarding an overcharge on our ticket. I ordered the rib combo plate, which comes with 2 sides. I requested okra and coleslaw. Then, I changed my order to 2 sides of okra (no coleslaw). When the dinner was delivered, it included 2 sides of okra AND a side of coleslaw. When we asked our waitress about the extra charge on our ticket, she said it was her fault (she didn't hear correctly). She asked the supervisor on duty, Shanae, about removing the charge and she refused. Then, I approached her to explain why we felt this was the restaurant's mistake. She argued that we should have returned the item when delivered. I told her I had the extra order of okra in a to-go cup at the table. When I returned with the extra order, she took the item from me but REFUSED to return any monies (even though the check had been paid). She then commented that she didn't want to deal with us any further and indicated we should leave. Overall, I PAID FOR AN EXTRA ITEM--of which she kept and DIDN'T COMPENSATE us!! Furthermore, she was SO EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE!!

UPDATE : (Dined yesterday and was disappointed. I don't have a problem with the price increases but quality and serving sizes were disappointing. Cream corn and green beans tasted right out of a can. Containers for sides (trimmings) have gotten smaller. The ribs were very greasy. Salad bar and dessert with meal $1.99 now. .99 cents for water. Please return the quality. Paying for quality is always a good value.) Our favorite in Valdosta. Love the ribs. Salad bar and desert included with most lunch and dinner options. Great sweet tea.

Traveled through with 3 dogs and ordered take-out to eat at the rustic picnic table outside. After ordering, it took 5 min to get the food and the smoked brisket, pecan chicken, and pork was sooooo good! This was a delicious fast place to eat that accommodated us. The staff was very helpful!

Plese plan to come to this restaurant Hungry! Very good and tender food. The locals don't miss coming here and that is a great sign that ya'll should plan to eat here!
