Simple and awesome BBQ. As soon as you walk up, you know its exactly what you want. I've lived in TX and MO and Sam's is some of my favorite, especially for the price. Good sides and dessert too. Do yourself a favor and buy a jar of their mustard and put it on everything. Best BBQ chicken I have ever eaten, hands down! I will go back everytime I'm down here visiting family.
Sam’s is THE best place to stop for BBQ. I’ve been to hundreds of places all around the south and the US. Sam’s is easily in the top three places I’ve ever been to. We tried all the sides and all the meats and everything is perfect. The mac and cheese is the best I’ve ever had anywhere, though. The ribs and sauces were all very good, too! The pictures I took do not give the dishes their due justice. But to top it all off, Sam gives the most friendly, down home service that you just can’t get hardly anywhere anymore. I highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone. You cannot go wrong with any of Sam’s delicious BBQ!
Stopped by Sam's while passing through Valdosta. This was the absolute best barbecue I have ever had. We walked in and Sam put together an enormous sampler of all his meats and sides. Not one of the options is less than incredible. The BBQ was all perfectly cooked, and Sam's homemade sauce could be enjoyed out of a shot glass.I cannot recommend this place enough and eagerly await my next visit. Sam is clearly a man whose food is his pride and joy, and it shows in the end result.

Delicious! Real smoked BBQ just like it should be. The baked beans and pulled pork are especially good. Get the red velvet for dessert, if there's any left - so good!
Very friendly service, excellent BBQ, great sides, and HUGE portions. We got the 2 meat + 2 sides plate and it was big! We had sausage (three links + grilled onions + three hot dog buns), ribs (3 or 4 huge bones + two slices of bread), mac & cheese, and baked beans (with ground meat mixed in). It was more than two hungry travelers could share!
This was SO good! Smoke flavorful! Had ribs, pulled pork, chicken, baked beans and mac and cheese. Do yourself a favor and go!
We had pulled pork sandwiches, a side of beans and a side of mac and cheese- it was excellent! Another person in our party had chicken and said it was amazing. Highly recommend!!! The smell alone as you drive by should make you want to stop. More importantly, the food is even better than the smell.
