Excellent service , food delicious
I decided to go to the Douglas restaurant on 21 May 2022 to have a meal with my family. We got our table and sat down, i went to make my plate and when I came back one of the employees was sitting in my seat talking to my family. At one point he patted my nephew on the head and was told to stop. He even said some threatening and harassing things. Everything was delicious, hot, fresh and well stocked with numerous choices for all ages and tastes. The vegetables were garden fresh and cooked to perfection and the fried chicken and chicken livers were awesome. There was a wonderful assortment of desserts to please everyone's taste buds. We will go there next time we are visiting the Valdosta area.
This place is a mad house! The waitstaff are running ragged. The clientele here were atrocious. People allowing children to dump food on the table and then brushing it onto the floor. Children screaming, and crying while parents just ignored them. Grabbing multiple plates, piling them up as high as they could. Speaking of plates, they were constantly out of clean plates which created an issue with long line of individuals who then would go nuts grabbing food as if they just got back from being on Naked and Afraid. The prices listed here are not correct which would have been fine if I could have got more than one plate. Unfortunately with clean plates being an issue and the mad dash individuals made when new food was put out then completely emptied within minutes, I just gave up. What little I got did taste good. The place felt grimy and if you have any fear of germs you might stroke out being here.
We live in the Florida Panhandle and had an appointment in Tallahassee. Having nothing in our area to compare, we took the opportunity to drive on over to Valdosta where we knew Ole Times would give us lots of options to enjoy real, down home food. Well worth the extra drive and 3 hour return trip home.
If you Love Southern Comfort food this is the place, truly a great place to dine in and just relax or take the family for fabulous tasting home cooked food. Dessert, Seafood such as Crab and Shrimp and also Steaks, home cooked veggies with a full salad bar and Ice Cream bar! If you Love feeling nice, full and relaxed in a clean environment this is the place in Valdosta,GA.
Very good food ? all you can eat. Big selection. Employees are very nice.. nice place for a great sit down .and enjoying some of the best food the south has to offer.
Food was good, prices are NOT what they have online, its actually double.
