Rooms are kind of run down. Same with furniture in the lobby.
A good place to stay at , just make sure the tv works. You should have like google or something similar that makes white noise. Most are not use to silence. The fan running is not calming, makes loud noise but not calming for restful sleep.
How does this hotel remain a hilton property? Shocking. It is in such disrepair. So dirty and literally falling apart everywhere you look. No renovation would help it as it is too far gone. Sound proofing does not exist... You can hear the interstate as if we were right in top of it. Do not stay here!
We stayed at the Valdosta Hampton Inn. Like always the bed was very comfortable. The hot breakfast was delicious & the staff was very helpful. I thought the rooms could have used some updating but they were clean & the beds at the Hampton Inn made up for it. I would recommend staying there.
The hotel lobby was very strange. We arrived at 7 pm and the lobby was dark except for lights in over the check in desk. Upon arrival to our room it was very outdated and felt overall dirty. I Lysol wiped everything down as the room was sketchy and felt grimy. The air conditioning did not cool and sounded like a freight train. The hall was dingy with stained carpeting.Breakfast was not good , ran out of eggs at 730 and whoever thinks cut polish sausage is a good breakfast item is plain wrong. The location also seems to be becoming a bit sketchy. I’ve stayed at this location a few years ago and this is a complete 360. The owners are letting this property go downhill and it is not up to Hilton honor standards. I’d definitely choose somewhere else in the future.
The staff at the desk were friendly despite it being a busy Friday night check in. The rooms was adequately clean, but no more than that. The property in general is very run down and in need of lots of repair. Torn up wall trim, carpets covering god knows what in the hallways. Just overall in poor condition. Unfortunate as we stayed here about 7 or 8 years ago and it was lovely. Also breakfast was dry eggs and Kielbasa sausage. This is not breakfast sausage!
Our room was pretty filthy and in poor condition, especially for the price. The seal was in place on the door indicating it had been “sanitized.” Everything was sticky. The housekeepers will only come once a week (Thursday) if you request it, if you stay 3 consecutive days or more. They no longer put the garbage bag in the trash but are nice enough to leave for you to do it. You must also set your trash outside your room in order for it to be taken. Our room had a piece of pizza on the floor and lamp. Not ours. Couch torn, eyelashes in our sheets. Fortunately we were only staying one night. In this case, “you get what you pay for” didn’t apply as we found it quite pricey for the condition. We will not be staying here on our way home as we originally intended as it is a good stopping point.
From check in to check out this was a pleasant experience. The room was very comfortable with soft clean bedding, plenty of towels and morning coffee in the room. We were provided bottled water and a wonderful breakfast at no extra cost. This was a great stop on our trip.
The hotel had piles of smelly garbage in the hallways. There was visible, sticky grime in common areas. We found a pacifier, a sock, and a chicken bone in our room that were not ours. The carpet felt sticky and grimy. The neon couch was grimy with numerous sparkly stains (I was happy to see the sparkles, as it ruled out more nefarious sources). The bathtub didn’t drain. The kitchenette had visible grime and sticky stains. The sink in the kitchenette had some unidentifiable grime in the drain. The staff (while potentially blind) was friendly enough.
Traveled for 1st Covid era time to attend graduation of grandson and hotel made us feel safe and welcome. Amenities, service and staff made us feel safe and comfortable. Room was sanitized and sealed upon our arrival and staff didn’t enter our room unless we requested it. Other than masks on staff, all was what we have come to like and expect at Hilton properties.
