Delicious food. Excellent service. This restaurant is one of Valdosta's jewels.
nice romantic atmosphere,old school greek
Met up with my friend who lives in the area and she wanted to take me to this little "charming chem" in Valdosta. The restaurant is in a big house (I didn't get a chance to go up to the 2nd floor), but the patio was really cute and the inside is definitely unique. You can tell they've kept it as original as possible. The food was yummy and the service was good. Wish they would offer the option of bread dipping oil instead of butter (I asked and server was quick to say "no"). The house sangria was "okay" and I do feel the glasses they use are small in structure so it feels like you're not getting a full glass, but you are.Overall, I'd recommend this restaurant and would return when back in town.
Was in town for work. Friends picked Giulio's fur dinner. It was lovely. Everything from the house, outdoor dining, to the. Friendly staff was great. Our server was from South Africa and was a joy. I had the redfish and calamari. Both were wonderful. I will definitely be returning!
I’ve been wanting to try this place since we moved here and it was not worth the wait . I honestly do not understand the rave reviews for this place. We sat down to a table and my water glass had some substance dried all over it so I asked for a clean one because the waitress was going to fill it up like that. I upgraded the salad to a Greek salad and for that extra $5 I got 3 olives and 2 Tbsp of feta cheese. The entrees…..oh my. I chose the Greek chicken pie as it had so many great reviews. It’s described as being soufflé style chicken folded into a white cheese sauce. What is actually was was a square cut from a large pan of canned chicken mixed with some sort of gelatinous “gravy” and a piece of phyllo dough on top. It was flavorless and extremely disappointing. My husband got the souvlaki and it was anything but authentic. The meat was gray and unrecognizable as beef, and was accompanied by one slice of bell pepper and one slice of onion.
My husband and I visited Giulio's for the first time on 2/19. The atmosphere is good and the food is more than worth the wait.I have very few complaints. The waiting area is small and cramped. The layout of the main seating area is hard to move around in and not easily accessible for customers and employees to seat and serve properly.Service was slow and it seemed there was no rush to get those if us waiting to be seated.I will say the dolmadoes where very good. I ordered the Moussaka and it had a very good flavor. The coffee was excellent. The Baklava was amazing!! It was served warm and it is not overwhelmingly sweet. The flavor was akin to pecan pie. I could have kissed the cook for making such excellent Baklava. You could tell a lot of love went into making it.Our server was attentive and courteous and was excellent about recommending the dolmadoes. My husband and I will definitely be back again.
Great authentic cuisine.
Absolutely amazing... Dined there for the first-time on last evening. Ordered both the vegetable and lentil soup and they were delicious. Very well seasoned and full of flavor. He ordered the T-bone steak and pasta and I had the Chicken and sausage pasta. Everything was impeccably prepared. Not only did the dishes look appetizing they tasted just as amazing as they looked. However it was not just the food that made our experience wonderful it was our waitress Nomi. She was by far the best part of our visit. She was attentive and very professional. Nomi was polite and personable. Anyone visiting this establishment in the near future ask for her. We will definitely be regulars there hopefully we can catch Nomi every single time. Very pleased very impressed ?.
Quirky house restaurant for some good Italian food. Excellent pasta dishes and Greek Fish dish.
Guilio's is one of our favorite restaurants in Valdosta! The food is incredible. Although we'd love to try the whole menu, what we've tried so far is too good to not order the same things every time. The service is also absolutely great, but instead of explaining what we've experienced we'd HIGHLY recommend you go see for yourself.
