We ordered the soup it came out cold and the ingredients were frozen!!! We also orders the beef chimichanga asked if it was ground beef she said yes I ordered it crispy and the beef was like stringy and it was frozen as well! Whoever gives this place anything more than 1 star doesn’t know what good food is!!!! Absolutely horrible and disgusting!
Food was good Service was OK People moving tables around were LOUD They charges a 3% “service fee” for using a credit card— even though I paid CASH! On paying cash I overpaid in order to get change back with $30.00 for an $18.84 bill. The server brought back $11.00 after asking if I wanted change back. No coin change was even offered for the additional $0.16 that was due.
This place is absolutely the worst el toreo restaurant in the business. My wife just went there to eat,and they told her she had to sit at the bar.(She doesn't drink, and don't want to sit at no dam bar)There was 5 tables empty, and only one outside table was being used.So she left!! El Toreo, you have just lost two long lasting customers!! If I could rate you less than zero,I WOULD!! BTW your cheese dip taste like melted butter!
The waitress was very efficient. The portion size was smaller than normal. The prices have increased slightly. If you remember the 5.25 lunch special has went away along with the weekend special. Be prepared to spend around 50dollars for 3 people with no specialty drinks. The food is still well prepared. Making it one of my favorite places to eat.
The service started off pretty good. It got longer between visits the longer we were there. The food was alright. They need to put seasoning on the food, including the salsa. I had combo fajitas, carnitas and shrimp, and my husband had the "hot" enchiladas verde. The salsa had a sweet flavor. The fajitas didn't have any seasoning. And the enchiladas verde tasted good with plenty of onions and sour cream on top but no heat to it at all. I'm from Texas so I'm used to seasoning on the food and some heat for Tex-Mex. They actually serve a very small amount of rice and beans with the enchiladas and the fajitas. Most places serve more than people will eat. I ordered the homemade sangria. It's ok, but made after it's ordered so the different flavors don't have time to combine so to me it tasted a little watered down. One table was complaining about sauce being served on the burrito even though the menu didn't say so and another table was being apologized to for something. Anyway.....mexican food in Georgia ?♀️
Had two beef enchiladas with rice and refried beans. The staff was nice and attentive. Would certainly recommend!
Three of us went to eat here today for lunch, they were not busy which was surprising since it was lunch time but they had maybe one or two other tables occupied with couples, so I thought sweet we should get our food fairly quickly. Keeping this in mind it took 45 minutes to get our food, I could only imagine how long it would be if they had been busy. Our waitress although nice, did not come back to refill drinks, chips or dip. It wasn’t until she brought out the food that we were able to ask for refills, and chips. When the food came out it was very disappointing, not fresh at all, zero seasoning and tasted as though it came out of a can, definitely not authentic by any means. Overall very disappointing.
Kayla was a great bartender! The Miami Vice was made perfectly! Very clean bar and restaurant!! Would highly recommend!
Enjoyed our visit, food was tasty and well prepared. Our server was attentive and prompt.
On the way back to Florida we were looking for a Mexican place to stop and eat. I am glad we ended up here. I have been to Mexico a few times and the food over there is different than the "mexican" food we have here in the US. El Toreo returned my faith in all that is holy. The food had authentic Mexican flavor. We had the sampler platter with beef strips, carnitas, chicken smothered in onions, green peppers, and a lot of flavors. Add rice and beans to their flour tortillas and we had the best tasting burrito this side of Georgia. I also tried their bean and pork soup, it was amazing. The flavors bleneded together to create a watery masterpiece. I look forward to visiting Georgia again and I will be certainly stopping by Valdostas best Mexican restaurant. Congratulations to the people behind this place and their wonderful staff. Which I should also mentioned went above and beyond to make our dinner the best.
