Delicious Food We’re from 13 hours away, and stopped in for food on way back home after a week in Florida, so glad we did! Was bomb and we will be back every year from here on out
In my opinion one of the best buffets as far as selection and location. The lower ratiing is because I feel like I was bait and switched, which of course with Chinese Buffets..the lunch dinner transition is something special. I came at 11 am on a Saturday I believe and the buffet price posted was somewhere between $8 and $10, BUT when I left I was charged $16 plus tip. I was advised that lunch started earlier on the weekends. I was not pleased. I paid it, left my tip and left. The location is convenient to great shopping. You have Valdosta Mall, Office Depot, Dollar Tree, Home Depot, Walmart and a few other nearby places. I believe in full transparency in pricing...although everything else is great, but l like any customer, if I feel manipulated or as I stated "baited and switched"...my internal gauge registers that as dishonest and I can't go back. Ironically I can take rudeness over misadvertisement because there is a hope that that person may no longer be there but if a uniform practice is in place that misguides customer perception of pricing and it is not corrected, that is not okay with me. It causes you to inadvertently sign a contract that you did not agree to and if you mention it, it can be shameful to you. I don't do that. ***Just be ware that on the weekends dinner times may move up...changing the pricing *****
Good selection of food !!! Food was fresh and hot very delicious
I just want to say that I would love to know who the owners are and personally call them to let them know just how disappointed I am in this place. I went in today with my family and my 2 year old had a meltdown which is normal with a toddler. Instead of the manager coming to ask if everything was okay, I was received with “Can you please leave the restaurant because he is disturbing everyone else?” I walked out and paid only for my drinks as we had literally just sat down. I am very upset with the lack of understanding and the unprofessional way we were approached about it. Will never return here.
Love this Grill & Buffet place!! Celebrate mother's day with in-law and children coming home from Atlanta. We enjoy such a lovely， wonderful meal at Chow Town. Food quality, variety and services are outstanding and impressive. Ken is our tables' waiter. He is truly a lot of joy providing excellent services. We agree to celebrate all future mother's days at Chow Town.
This place is utterly disgusting! The salad was brown and "soupy" due to ice being mixed in. The manager refused to replace new salad, saying " the health department told them to mix in ice". This is false, the health departments website clearly states that food left out must be chilled by a cold plate or ice underneath. In addition, we took pictures of them pouring new food over old food. This is also a health violation. I rarely EVER post reviews like this, but because they "refused" to fix their mistakes, I feel like people need to know. I will also be contacting the health department!! I have pictures for evidence of everything mentioned above.
Dirty tables. Staff half heatedly cleans tables. One swipe of the cloth, missing Chung's the size of granola. This is not a one time incident, as we observed multiple tables the same.They were not busy, 5 people/ couples or family at the time at the most. I added two just in case they are behind the other side.Just lazy. If you want excellent training ask me.
Just left Chow Town Chinese restaurant in VALDOSTA GEORGIA. The only words to describe the food and the manager is: AWFUL, AWFUL AWFUL. They advertise on the internet that they have over 300 items. All Bull S__T. They were out of chicken and was told it would be about 20 more minutes before done. We went to the manager he said take other items and basically be happy. He would refund our money and he got upset because we wanted our money back. This is not over yet. I will go up the ladder as far as I can with such a poor attitude towards his customers. So the bottom line is, if you like food over cooked and there is not over 300 items as advertised than knock yourself out.
This food is HORRIBLE! Nothing was hot, sushi was STALE. Do not eat from here. I was thinking wow a buffet only 15$, that’s awesome. These reviews are a LIE! This food is sooo bad. The cake was equivalent to eating flavored paper. I wish I was overreacting. On top of the food the lady was hovering for a Tip. A tip for what? She was literally rushing us. Yeah no. It’s a good laugh, but not for good eating. I only had one plate, couldn’t finish it. The chicken on the stick was the best thing and it was still burnt. This is a salmonella/ ecoli outbreak waiting to happen. Eating lukewarm food at a buffet is literally how you get food poisoning. Someone call the health department!!!
The food is so nasty, the manager is rude he doesn’t try to help make things better when letting him know that there are things to be changed around. When trying to let him know that the food was cold and not cooked correctly he had gotten loud and obnoxious about it telling us that “ we have to pay for the food no matter how it looked or tasted.”!Don’t eat here it’s a waste of time and money .
