Delicious food for average prices!Huge variety of sides and mains and all of it tastes homemade. Servers were generous with the portions.Definitely will come back. Excellent seating both indoor and outdoor with lots of space between tables.

Very good food and service. A variety of home cooked meats, veggies, sides and desserts daily. Your choice of rolls or cornbread usually. The lemonade is absolutely the best lemonade that I have ever tasted and I don't like lemonade but I love theirs. Just good down home cooking and eating. Enjoy!!!

I really love this place, don’t live near by but any time I come around this area Matthew’s Cafeteria is a must! Tasty southern style food. Can’t go wrong with anything and there is always lots of stuff to try so it will have you coming back for more.
I had the fish fried okra and greens to go. Even after a short ride the fish and okra were still hot crispy and delicious the greens were tasty as well. Not a hint of grease anywhere.This was my first visit but it won't be my last.?
I gave them two stars because the staff was nice. You have to pay for each item individually which turned out to be real pricey. For instance a single small wing was priced at $2.50. The food I had was not fresh, the macaroni was warm, and the bread I got was dry/stale. The peach cobbler was not good. It looked like an actual crust, but it turned out to be the bread type which I don't care for. I've passed by and wanted to try it for a while. It seems like a lot of people like them so I hope they will continue to get business, but I will have to pass.
Quality and vibe still the same after my first visit here in a few years. One of the best Southern cooking cafeterias around! Fried chicken and mashed potatoes were awesome! Thank you for surviving the pandemic!
