Delicious fried chicken and fish! My extended family recently hosted an impromptu birthday celebration. The Mama's Chicken & Seafood staff understood the assignment. They completed our LARGE order in less than an hour. Everything was hot, fresh, seasoned well and packaged appropriately for convenient pick-up. They were courteous and helpful with taking our order and during our pick-up.
Food is a 3/5 but the low prices, convenience of liquor in store, and the fact that it's a small business propels it to 4/5. It even has a drive-thru!Chicken is flaky and crispy but could use some more flavor. Mashed potato and gravy was delcious however. The roll was store bought but for a three piece meal with a drink for under 8 dollars? All is forgiven.
If you want good, hot, and really seasoned fish come here!! They know how to cook, and cook that fish really good! I'm talking hot and good! For a decent price! They are not cheap, and the food is worth the price and short wait. ?
1st time going there. I was extremely hungry and I wanted fried chicken since I don't fry foods in my home. I decided to get fish & shrimp meal. It only came with 1 Talapia and 3 measly shrimp and the side I opted for was the mac and cheese. It was horrible! Don't get it! So needless to say I was still hungry after eating 1 piece of fish and 3 shrimp! I should've waited and went to JJ FISH!
Me an my fiance tried this place for the first time an we can truly say it was good an good prices ,we both had a 3 piece combo an I had chesse popers.we will ne back thanks....
I wanted gizzards and this was one of the places I'd seen them on the menu. Cooked to order, light and crispy breading, marinated well, very good. I will be recommending Mama's.
Tenders are good but probably won't order the gizzards anymore. The side container for Mac and cheese is literally the size of a single teaspoon serving and to charge over $2 for it is absurd. To go containers are HORRIBLE and easily fall apart if you're not careful.
I ordered fish and hushpuppies. The food was below average. Captain D's is better. The fish is thin. The batter was very crispy. Hushpuppies were crispy on the outside, a little doughy on the inside. I did not have the chicken. I will not be going back.
Came on wed 23 and we order catfish and shrimps and it was fried too hard on outside fish was mushy and smelly and shrimps was dark fried hard old shrimp fries was mixed with old fries had two or three fresh fries place was dirty bathroom didn't work floor behind counter was dirty with trash can next to prep station full of trash would not go nor referred any dog to eat the scraps off the floor wonder when the last time the health inspection been to the establishments. This is a ghetto store/chicken fish joint -10
Save your money.The chicken is very dry and unseasoned.The catfish was very salty.The sweet tea taste 30days old.The fries taste like they were cooked in old grease.So just keep driving and save your money.You will thank me later. ?
