This was my first time here. I enjoyed it very much. The restaurant is very clean and it appears that much of it has been remodeled recently. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I have been to other cafeterias where the staff yell at you to get your order. Not here. They are very polite and patient as you look over the food to pick out what you want. The food is good comfort food. I do have some questions about the vegetables for people who want truly vegetarian food. I did not ask about that. I would definitely go back occasionally as a treat.

When we saw Magnolia Room on Atlanta Eats, we put it on our list to try. Time and the pandemic got away from us?.This week, I’m off work and staying in town, so we are visiting some places on our list.Today, we visited Magnolia Room for lunch. We got there a few minutes before opening and took our place in the line that was already forming. Right at 11:30, the door swung open and the first things we experienced were warm welcomes and smiles. The 2nd thing we saw were desserts! The line moves quickly and the folks working the line were so nice. My husband got the country fried chicken with gravy. I got a veggie plate. We both got free pie, since it’s Wednesday! We each got a variety of sides and cornbread. I had to bring home part of my sides because the portions were so generous and I had over-ordered.We had seen the owner interviewed once, and we were impressed with the longevity of his team and that they operate as a family. I believe I read that Magnolia Room took care of their team during the worst days of the pandemic. If you are looking for fresh, home-cooking and excellent customer service, it’s in Tucker and it’s alive and well at Magnolia Room.

Amazing experience from the Managers warm greeting, to the cafeteria line staff being welcoming, felt like you were going to a family members house to eat. The cashiers at check out were so friendly and even laughed at my brothers corny jokes lolThe food was delicious. I had the smothered baked chicken, mac n cheese, green beans and dinner roll. It was downright one of the best meals I've had, soul food wise. The sauce on the chicken with the mushrooms was so tasty, the Mac n cheese was the perfect consistency, and the dinner roll was so soft and warm. Will definitely be back!

It's no joke how much better Magnolia Room is than the other cafeterias in Tucker. For the same price you get the same amount of food that'll taste better than any other cafeterias in the area. Added to that, the dining room is clean, spacious, well air-conditioned and in a romantic environment -flowers and decorations at the table.5 Stars and I mean it!

Only eaten here once It was outstanding the food was Great and the Service was Great Will be back❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Like coming home! I recently had the opportunity to have lunch with friends at Magnolia Room. What a delightful experience! The food is delicious and service is warm and gracious. Never having dined here, I felt like I had returned home.A few in my party had Fried Chicken which they both agreed it may be the best they had ever had. I am trying to a find a way back to Tucker to check out their claims.

The food was good. It wasn’t super but it was good. It could have been a little hotter. I had the mushroom smothered fried chicken, collards, sweet potato soufflé, mac & cheese, and a slice of sweet potato pie. It was $24.73. I don’t know how I feel about that but it was an experience. The chicken was good, it wasn’t really hot but it was cooked well. The gravy had more water in it than I’m used to. The collards were hot and tasted fresh. Not much seasoning but when they’re fresh, I don’t mind it as much. The sweet potato soufflé was what you would expect so it was good. The mac & cheese wasn’t completely melted like other reviews said but it was ok. At least it wasn’t dry like the other reviews said. The tea was sweet and the sweet potato pie was good, not too sweet.I live on the other side of Atlanta so I wouldn’t make a trip over there for the food but if I was in the area, I probably would swing by to try some other things because it did look good.Oh, and the employees were super nice, especially Mr. Gary!

The outside give off a old type of feeling/ vibe n I didn't think I would like the atmosphere (BUT) the inside is modern n clean. The food is excellent, not over salted n the staff is really nice. Don't judge the outside go in.

Just had an event in a private dining room at Magnolia Room Cafeteria. I was very pleased with everything. I am always recommending this restaurant to others. I have been dining there for years and always satisfied. Good food, good management, good service.❤?

Wonderful Southern cuisine! Clean and friendly. So many different vegetables and salads to select from.Even deviled eggs! We shared Custard pie , strawberry shortcake and coffee for dessert.
