I am so disappointed in my plate. I asked for a oxtail plate with rice and cabbage.1. These are the smallest oxtails I have ever seen.2. Half of the oxtails didn't have any meat on the bone at all.3.These people charged me $32.39 for this... Will not return to this restaurant. So upset.
The wait time to order food was about 15 minutes. However, cashier was friendly and thanked each patron for being patient. I ordered fried salmon, collards, and Mac and cheese. Everything was seasoned to perfection.
Pulled up a little after 6 .. there was no line.. presentation wasn’t looking so good. I decided on just a veggie plate with double Mac green beans and cornbread muffin. The Mac was to my liking but not my husbands as he like a more garlic taste to his Mac I like a more plain with not too much sauce nor cheese. The green beans was at least favorite and honestly I don’t think I’ll ever order them again from there. They were very tough. The cornbread muffin now was theeeeee BOMB.com .. it was sweet and moist I wish I would have ordered 2 additional. The server Miss Joyce she was friendly and thanked me numerous of times for leaving a tip. It was genuine and honestly I wish I would have left more. I’ll give them another try but when it’s earlier in the day when things are probably more fresh.
Food overcooked! Greens taste like the canned Glory greens! I threw those away! Veggies weren't over seasoned which was fine for me because I have to cook without salt. This may not be good for someone looking for food to be well seasoned. It was my first visit. I might try again because maybe they had a bad day.
Today was my first visit to this spot the customer service and friendliness was excellent. I tried several items. Out of everything I ordered I like the baked turkey wings and sauteed squash. I didn't like the peach cobbler it was watery. The food was okay. The menu has a huge selection and vegetarian options are available. I may go another day and try a few more vegetables.
Great customer service, very friendly. But the food. No. I'm from Geogia and this is food is not a good representation. Mashed potatoes were straight out the box (just add water). Collard greens tasted dirty and unwashed. Turkey wing was cooked at least a day or 2 ago, skin was so hard and dry it broke the fork they gave me.I get the vibes this place is owned by people who do NOT look like the folks working there. If you are going to profit off Black culture at least stick to true recipes.
The best kept secret in ATL!! From the time we walked in the door, top notch service! The establishment was clean, I mean clean!! Now the food…we were there on a Saturday for lunch, everything that was on the lunch menu was already prepared and ready to go. What’s wasn’t prepared, the chef cooked in ten minutes. Everything was great and well worth the drive. High recommend this place! You will not be disappointed!!
my new favorite spot ? if you have never eaten here do yourself a favor and get on over there for your plate. The food is amazing, could've sworn I heard ? singing during my whole meal. The atmosphere was so welcoming and they treated us just like family. Definitely my kinda spot. Thank yall so much for showing us love * feeding us like family ???
This was my first time ordering food from CGC! And I am dissatisfied. The My Mac and cheese I rate 2/10 it had no seasoning I had to add salt and pepper, the crust was so hard I thought I was going to chip my tooth!! The collards I rate a STRONG 3/10 I just ended up pouring hot sauce all over so I can eat a few bitesI don’t any complaints about the Chicken though! The chicken wings are pretty good here !!
I was looking for soul food in the area. Collard Green Cafe popped up! I just had some fried chicken, mac and cheese, and collard greens it was delicious! My associate ordered fried pork chops, cabbage, and rice, they loved their food too. We’ve found our southern soul food place. Thank you Collard Green Cafe! You have some new customers. Great food that hits the spot! I’m going try the oxtails next and follow up.
