Just want to say thank you to Shady Lane staff, especially Trelle, for accommodations made for a road trip 6 hours away which family we were going to see requested SL Chili dogs and Slaw dogs. I ordered 25 Chili dogs and 12 plain dogs with a couple of cups of slaw. We had the best time and ate on them for 2 days. Everyone was a happy camper and appreciate the staff going above and beyond to do this for us. Thank you again from me, Judy Rodriguez and family, Jimmi King, and Kaitlyn Rodriguez!
If I could rate 0 stars I would. Staff is incredibly rude. They harassed and picked on my elderly grandmother. She is disabled and they made her walk all the way up to the window, then proceeded to YELL at her and say they were closed, after snickering and laughing as she was walking up. Why would you tell a 80 year old woman with a cane to walk all the way up to the window just to tell her to leave and rudely slam the window in her face and lock it. This place needs to be shut down. Nobody I know has had a pleasant experience with the staff. All have been treated rudely and unprofessionally. If I was the owner I would throw out all the trash employees if you really care about your business. Hope you take pride in your self.
Considering the name of this restaurant includes "Drive Inn," why isn't the drive thru being used more, and why are people having to get out of the car to be serviced? The way the staff person treat customers especially the elderly is a shame. A window should never be closed in a customer's face simply because the work day is ending especially when the customer arrives before closing and food is available. What a shame! Be careful how you treat people. The staff member deserves to be fired immediately and the elderly lady deserves an apology and much more.
This took place today at Shady lane! A lady and her children had to witness extremely piss poor service to an elderly woman !!! READ BELOW!We stop by today right before closing time (5:30) the cashier lets us know they only have dogs and they are about to close very soon. We put in our order and pay. While we are ordering there is a car in the drive thru and the cashier states that their drive thru is closed and that she will let the car sit there and I guess figure it out. Eventually after a couple of minutes she told the driver that they needed to park and come to the window. The driver finally understood and drove around to park.An elderly woman proceeds to get out of the vechile. The cashier yells at her while she’s getting out “WE ONLY HAVE DOGS” (her tone was aggressive and loud not at all the way she told us) the elderly woman continues walking towards her (slowly because she walked with a cane) and I heard the elderly woman somewhat mumble “good that’s exactly what i came for” and the cashier yells at her again “NO SANDWICHES ONLY DOGS” (aggressive and loud) interrupting her. and the elderly woman speaks up and says “ok I’ll get 2 chili cheese dogs” but while she’s saying that the cashier interrupts and yells at her AGAIN “WE CLOSE IN TWO MINUTES” the elderly woman becomes defensive and says “well why do you keep talking while I’m talking?” She was confused as to why this cashier kept interrupting her and yelling at her. The elderly woman proceeds to say she wanted 2 chili cheese dogs again but before she finished saying it the cashier slammed the window on her. The elderly woman stood there in confusion and disbelief. My children and I were also in disbelief. The elderly woman stood there and waited a couple of seconds and said “what did you say I didn’t hear you” (mind you the elderly woman was not at all being rude to the cashier) and while the elderly woman waited for a response the cashier slammed the long piece of wood that they lock their window with and went to the back completely ignoring the elderly woman. The elderly woman returned to her car (I’m sure she was hurt and comfused) and left. We all sat there in disbelief. Why did she just treat her like that? Why? Why? My 6 year old says “mom she didn’t treat us like that why did she treat her like that she was probably hungry that’s not fair” It was very sad to watch. If the elderly woman didn’t cry from anger or sadness I cried for her because that was very hard to watch. I don’t know the name of the cashier but if she is able to see her elderly years I hope she remembers how she treated this elderly woman because we aren’t young and able forever.
wouldn't bother, staff is rude and awful to the point THEY YELL AT ELDERLY people because they hate their jobs so bad. shut this place down so they can get a new job maybe they will have better attitudes. ZERO stars.
Very rude staff. They don’t care about the customers as they stand around laughing and playing. I hope they close down so someone will open up something worth eatin at.
I've been stopping by the place for 20 yrs when passing through Tifton, on our way to Florida. I just love the chilli dogs!Food is always fresh each time I visit.
My review is just looking them up and having a moment of nostalgia! When I lived in Tifton, this was one of my fave go to spots. The chili cheese dogs were awesome! And there was so much fun in getting the delicious icecream with some fries. I am vegan now, so I will not eat here when I come back home but I must say.....great memories!
I love eating at Shady Lands. The food is really good and fast Service there too.
Try one of everything its absolutely delicious!! The people are so friendly also
