Went in with such high hopes for a great meal after reading the reviews -perhaps we weren't the ideal clientele due to our mix of skin color - I don't say that foolishly nor ignorantly either, I travel the US for work and I've been to many states across our nation and even the tiniest of country towns in our nation, TRUST me i know when I'm being treated poorly due to not being caucasian - poor judgment on hostess and waitresses part - while waiting for a table, we noticed all the non white diners were being sat in ONE particular spot of the restaurant, the lower area of restaurant with the large window where the sun was beaming through and very uncomfortably warm.Let's move onto the food - the bread that comes to the table was warm and soft, the waitress brought the dipping condiments as an after thought when we had 1 slice of bread left.No beverages offered for kids besides the bar juicea for their cocktails -the pineapple juice is canned that is transferred to a bottle, even though the waitress tried to convince me otherwise (I worked at a busy bar in my 20s i know what canned pineapple juice taste like and you can surely taste the difference)The seasonal peach burrata was the best thing we ordered from menu. The chicken piccata was bland itself with only the sauce having flavor, total miss. The side of broccoli was pretty standard. The meatballs with polena was another win.The alfredo was a miss, it was greasy and lacked the spices that make the alfredo sauce itself, the cheese used was extremely strong and overpowered any other flavor in dish if it had any.The waitress was probably the biggest issue, she made our experience extremely awkward - she brought the bill, drop it on table, started picking up dirty plates and decided to just stand behind my husband looking over his shoulder to see what we were going to tip her, it was uncomfortable and again extremely awkward especially because I had to ask her to back away and give us a minute.I understand this next part bears no fault on restaurant - however on our way to car, a homeless person that was clearly on or coming off drugs accosted us, she approached my 4 and 6 year old and she was too close for comfort - we ended up giving her our doggie bag.Anways if you choose this place i hope you have a better experience.
Great service and great food
Fantastic food! Lobster ravioli was amazing (warning...it is real lobster...so watch out for shells...how you know it is good). We are definitely coming back! (Service was very good and fast too, and we spotted the owner bussing tables.)By the way, the place is very well designed, and not horribly loud despite the high ceiling...a lot of love and thought went into this place.
Great food and service!! Great atmosphere!! Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch out!!
The service was 4/10 at best. For a new restaurant they went out of their way to not go above and beyond. The food was bland, and portions were small. The cocktails were good, but very expensive. Dinner for two costing $150 is absolutely ridiculous when I could get the same or better experience at OG for 1/3 of that.
My husband and I don't live in Tifton, but we visit often to see family members. We had dinner here shortly after the restaurant opened years ago, and it was pretty good. On the second visit, not so much. Neither the food nor the service was even adequate. We were in town last weekend for our grandson's high school graduation and decided to try Fresco Italiano again. We made reservations for 8:00, after graduation. When we arrived, the place was packed, with a line out the door and down the steps. We presented ourselves at the desk, expecting a wait, and were seated right away. This time, the service was outstanding (thanks, Livy and Hannah) and the food was amazing. We will definitely return and will recommend it!
the service was awful. she hardly came to the table. i wanted to order something to go and she told me not to order it because it would take over an hour to get my food and kept going on about how it’s best not to. I didn’t care how long I had to wait for it, but she made it clear that it felt like an inconvince to do it. You are paying a good amount of money for your food and only hope that the customer service is as good.
Maybe we picked a bad night to come. Service was horrible and food was cold when we finally got our food. We ordered drinks, drinks came a hour later and all drinks was watered down. We had a party of 15 “seated @ 7pm” food came out @ closing time 10pm. I have heard great things about this restaurant and I was excited to come but tonight was not a good night for this establishment. Would not recommend or eat here again.
Italian in Georga This unique resturant in Tifton is in an old warehouse and has a pleasant decore. They couldnt find our reservation we made 2 days before- we were seated when i showed the confirmation email Our meal was not authentic Italian- and lacked flavor. The setvice was friendly and efficient. Not a memorible experience despite the musical serenade during the meal.
I wish we actually had a dinner experience to share about, sadly our encounter is strictly based on the hostess attitude towards us as guests. We decided to give this restaurant a try after being on the road most of the day on our way home. So sick of fast food we deviated the chain locations off of I-75 after reading positive reviews on yelp of others that had done the same. Our first thought was this place looks really nice - no one standing around or waiting (5 pm on a Saturday) so there shouldn’t be a problem for a party of five. Once arrival we were prompted if we had a reservation to which we answered no and were they required and she answered yes, but let’s see if there’s something we could do. We took a seat in the lobby area and proceeded to wait with our children. Clearly seeing in the dining room more than a few tables open, my husband and I looked at ourselves and both nodded knowing that they were just going to send us on our way. Five minutes later the hostess came back to let us know there weren’t any tables available for us. She didn’t give a waiting option such as - there will be a wait and so forth. It’s sad to see how lately with such a lack of employment and things in the consumer/customer service department etiquette and hospitality falls through cracks with some places due to the slim pickings there are to choose from. Please be sure to make a reservation and if you have children choose to go elsewhere. This establishment clearly would rather serve a certain type of customer and we didn’t fit the bill. They truly missed out on avid restaurant goers with children that try and eat from the adult menu and not your typical chicken tenders and fries. Better luck next time we ever swing by Tifton.
