Great service, great food, at a reasonable price.
This is our "local" CB so we visit about once every other month. The restaurant is always clean and the customer service varies but is never bad. On this most recent visit we had a polite young man seat us and he made.sure to point out the daily special. Our waitress was very welcoming and friendly. It was not crowded so the food came out quickly. No complaints.
A bit disappointed with this location. Visited with a group of 9 on a Thursday evening. Location was not very busy at the time, but we were still faced with a 20 minute wait. (Not a big deal, I expect large groups to take a bit of time to wait).Food took about 30 min to come out. The server came by on 3 occasions to apologize for the delay and make sure we didn't need anything else.My biggest disappointment was in the food. Ordered the Chicken and Dumplings with spiced apples and mac & cheese on for sides. My order only came with 3 small chicken "pieces" about 3-4 inches long. They were cooked to the same standards asevery other location. Dumplings were undercooked and chewy and the gravy was super thin and watery. The other person in my party that ordered the Chicken & Dumplings had the same experience and were served a much smaller portion. The rest of the party did not seem to have any issues with their food.
When I go to Jacksonville this is where I want to go. The best shrimp, and plenty of it. Grits, slaw, hush puppies, I could go on and on. Everything is delicious. The staff are awesome also. I highly recommend this place. You won't regret it.
stop in off the road trip for quick lunch. The place was not very busy ordered the fried catfish as usual with coleslaw and broccoli. The waitress asked if we wanted biscuits or cornbread, we said cornbread but she didn't bring it. The broccoli was sad looking the catfish was over fried probably refried. The Mas potato that my husband ordered was just old and nasty. This is the worst meal we ever had at a cracker barrel. Golden corral had better food.
Really good servers even though it was busy. Gave us basket of biscuits until food came. Kept tea glass filled. Manager came over to speak and make sure everything was ok. Food was very good.
Always a fun dinning experience. Large choice of down home meal including all day breakfast. Beautifully, well maintained business. We were seat quickly, placed our orders and served rather quickly by extremely friendly and helpful waitress. The food was delicious and the price was more than fair considering the large portions we were given. A bonus shopping trip to the "general store "that is in the same building made the visit even more fun. Highly recommend!
The Arnold Palmer was excellent. Everything else was horrible. It took almost an hour to get our food. The biscuits and cornbread were hard as a rock. They brought out more biscuits and they were half raw. The table next to us finally got their food, but had no silverware to eat it with. Will NOT be going back, ever.
The service is getting worse. My wife and I have been patient here due to the pandemic producing a worker shortage.But...I ordered fried chicken and after a FULL 20 minute wait I was informed that they were out. Now the explanation was this... " we are out of the fried chicken you ordered but we have another kind, but if we drop more fried chicken like you ordered it will take another 20 minutes... Would you like a menu"?My answer was NO...just a check for our 2 coffees. He came back and said, "one coffee is on the house"I looked at the ticket and it was for$16.00.Had to fix that. When he put that order in and they were out of chicken ... He should have came back then.Someone was lying.I wasn't about to wait 20 more minutes for mine while my wife's sat there and got cold.No responsible leadership here
Your waitress Dawn was awesome. She was fast, courteous, and made us feel welcome. The fried chicken was perfect and so was the fresh vegetables and biscuits. I love the fireplace on a cold winter afternoon. It feels so good to eat at a clean, happy place like Cracker Barrel.
