Horrible. Walked in at 8:32 P.M on Saturday. They said they were closed. Per Google AND the sign on the door says they were open AND that it didn't close until 9:00 P.M. No apology was offered no accommodations were made. Highly disappointed. A couple of kids said " our parents on this location and closing at 8:30 P.M has been the topic of conversation". If that's the case update Google and Change the sign on the door!
Cheesesteak was great, cheesey but not to greasy and the fresh cut fries are fantastic. Cheesesteaks come 6 inch, 9 inch or 12 inch.
Oh my yumminess! When I first tasted their fries it felt like an overwhelming religious experience. I finally understand those people who see Jesus in a piece of toast. While I didn't physically see Jesus, I did experience his love for me with each bite.
The service is typically good. But not today. Karen seemed apathetic taking my order. The food is typically good. The portion sizes are comparable to the price. However, for some reason this time I did not receive the correct portions. I ordered a large Philly and a large fry. Normally my fries look like the ones from the previous review with a little extra j. The bottom of the bag. Not this time. I paid for a large but it looks like a small. She didn’t even cut my sub. I would have taken it back but I live an hour away.
Love this place! Amazing sandwiches and fresh cut fries! If anything gets me, it’s fresh fries! Very clean and the staff was awesome! I’ll definitely be back!!
A+ Philly cheesesteaks, reubens and other sandwich styles (and I’m from the east coast), thanks to bread that tastes just baked, fresh toppings & cheese melting everywhere... this location has very friendly staff, and never messes up my picky order. Fries always amazing and the chocolate cookies super tasty. Love it!
Given all these positive reviews, I guess I may have gone on an off day. Two things really struck out to me.1. Way too salty - I know saltiness is objective. What may be salty for one may be just right for another. I’ve had food that I thought was too salty but still edible. I can chalk up those levels to personal preference. My food at Penn Station was so salty that I couldn’t even eat it. I didn’t complain, maybe I should have but everyone is struggling these days, diners and restaurant owners.2. The second criticism is partially on me. I should have read the description better. I ordered the chicken parmesan sub and what I got was a sandwich I never would have called chicken parmesan sub. I’ve always known chicken Parm subs to be breaded and fried chicken cutlet topped with tomato sauce and cheese in bread. My sandwich had chunks of grilled chicken instead. I feel it should be called a philly cheese chicken sandwich. Definitely not a chicken parm.Bottom line, given the reviews I’ll try this place again but I won’t be ordering the chicken Parm. And hopefully they’ll tone down the salt. You can always add but you can’t take out.
I placed an Uber online order for pickup for one cold sandwich, one hot sandwich, and some fries. 20 mins later I get an alert that the food is ready as I'm driving to the shop.I arrive to the shop, and when I gave my name they couldn't find my order. Then apparently they suddenly they found my order. They started going through a pile of sandwiches on the counter and found mine, and then told me to wait. At no point did anyone communicate why I was waiting.10 mins into waiting I ask one of the girls what's taking so long since I received notification over 20 minutes ago that the food was ready. She initially pretended not to hear me, but since I didn't move and I was holding the phone up on the "Your order is ready" screen, she finally side-eyed me and said "they were waiting on fries". She says this as someone who had ordered in-store a few moments ago walks up to the register and grabs their sandwich and fries from in front of me.I wait another 7-8 minutes until finally they call my name. At this point my hot sandwich has been sitting on the cold counter for over 30 minutes (per the Uber app......) so I ask them if they can please toast it again because the sandwich is going to be ice cold from sitting there while I waited around "for the fries to be ready".1. If the food isn't ready, why is your staff updating the app to trigger an alert that it is 20 mins in advance?2. Fries don't take 30 mins to make. If there's confusion or you're running behind, just say so. Don't make up something just to get someone away from the counter.3. If I'm going to pay $13 for a sandwhich, tell the kids running the shop to at least try and act like they want to be there. I have zero desire to go back or recommend this shop if I have to deal with all the attitude and incompetency again over a sandwich.
I don't see this place advertised much, as opposed to the big franchise chains, but I am telling you, from someone who lived in Philly for several years, their cheese steak is awesome and the closest you'll find to authentic around here. Just so good. Highly recommend.
Outstanding subs here! I always get the hot Italian and it never disappoints. Penn station subs taste great no matter location you go too. But the Suwanee location is my favorite thus far
