What and great morning surprise! Although I enjoy breakfast, I am not a big breakfast person. So when I go to breakfast I want it to be an experience. This Black owned restaurant delivered that! It's a little of the beaten path, but it is worth the trip. As you can see in my images the plating is artistry and the food taste as good as it looks. I caught myself humming and dancing.
Yes. Go. Eat. There. Now!Their food is so good! Showed up at 8am on a Saturday and it was packed!! This was my first visit and I was not disappointed. I ordered the chicken and waffles and 2 pieces of catfish. Yeah I was being greedy. The waffles have a delicious vanilla taste. The presentation of the plate is on point. Every plate that I saw come out of the kitchen looked delectable! The catfish was fried perfectly and had the right amount of saltiness. I couldn't decide which lemonade I wanted and the sweet waitress brought us samples to help us make a decision. SERVICE!!!!!Pros:Good food.Good service.Cons:Parking is tight. The actual restaurant is not large enough to handle the demand for this great food. Need to be open longer.I can't wait to come back!!!
Delicious food, large servings friendly staff. Yummy lemonade flavors...pineapple, strawberry pineapple and blueberry. We've gotten take out before, but this time we sat in. Will certainly be back.I noticed the host actually cleaning menus as they were collected and the tables were sanitized as people got up.
We came here today for brunch. It is a smaller establishment with "intimate" seating. We all had the chicken and waffles. The chicken was the most delicious and moist chicken breast I've tasted in a long time. The waffles were sooooo good.My daughter had the chocolate chip waffles which she said was good (but chocolaty).Everything that came out looked delicious. We eyeballed the catfish, French toast, and the shrimp. We didn't get a chance to try the mimosas, due to it being early in the morning, but we will definitely be back.
This is my first time coming to this place and I'm from out of town. THIS FOOD IS AMAZING. I had the shrimp and waffles with some grits and it went down. I never had waffles without syrup cause the honey butter is good. The strawberry lemonade is good and the mimosa is good. I wish they had bottomless mimosas...lol. its a small spot but the vibe is good. Good music and good food.If I had to make a complaint is the service. It's not the best but it overshadows how good the food is. I would definitely come back here when I come down to GA.
Funny how this place is so close to my house open for about 2 years and as a local Realtor we never knew about it. Our friend took us a few weeks ago and the line was long prior to opening. That told me something. Cozy small interior which we love. The staff is very friendly and prompt service. Now the food was outstanding. I had the Strawberry French Toast plus and could barely eat 1 piece. What I truly loved was you can sit and enjoy your food they did not rush you out. Give it a try and let me know what you think.
I give this restaurant a rating of 10 ?.They have the best food I've ever had in my life. They use quality ingredients and quality products.Their attention to detail and customer service is phenomenal.Every single bite was savoring deliciousness. I love the art, the music, and the atmosphere. I felt like I was surrounded by culture. I can't wait to go back. The only critique I can give is that they need more intimate seating for customers. I will be back, I'm taking everyone that I know with me.
This was the first time I was able to eat here. I tried coming on a weekend in the past and the wait was over a hour, the second time I came on a Friday and there wasn't a wait. The food was good. However, they ran out of grits, which I thought was odd considering its a Friday. I had ordered fish and grits, and then had to change my order when they realized they had run out. I ordered the veggie omelet, which was ok, but nothing special. My husband had the crab benny, which was great. We also had a side order of waffles, which was a decent size portion.I do think it's odd that they add gratuity automatically on parties of 2, but I guess they must have had customers who didn't tip.Their coffee probably could be better. I usually expect better from breakfast/brunch restaurants.Overall, I liked their food, and the service was good. I probably won't order their coffee or veggie omelet again, but everything else was great.
The food was excellent! The service was a little off being that we had a very big party and there were only 2 servers. We waited over 2 hours for a table and the hostess was a little snippy when our party came inside before we received a text to come in. We were told to go back outside until we received a text and that was follwed by please but it was said in a way that we could assume she didn't appreciate us coming inside beforehand. Overall, the food is everything and the some. I would have given 5 stars had the hostess not been snippy. I'm from Charlotte, so I will come back next time I come this way, which is often.
We have been here many times and it never disappoints! The flavor cannot be beat. We have tried shrimp and waffles, chocolate chip waffles, chicken and waffles. All are delicious.
