Three of us visited Don Bonachon on 7-30-22. This visit was a combination of very good, very average and very unfortunate. The drink special of the day was Margarita for $4.00, made from an overly sweet mix and zero orange liqueur. It lacked the pizzaz of a truly good Margarita. We were served chips and salsa, and the salsa was the best I'd ever tasted, full of flavor with some spiciness. The shrimp quesadilla and fish tacos were good, but the combo plate of 5 mini tacos was just plain unacceptable. The chicken and meat fillings were overcooked and extremely dry, and the carne asada had an unforgivable amount of inedible gristle, The service was excellent. Taken as a whole, we will most likely search out another Mexican restaurant in the future which is consistently good all around.
Stopped here for lunch. Staff is very nice / friendly and service very good. Place is clean and updated. You won't be disappointed!
My favorite Mexican restaurant currently! I have been many of times and every time the food has been delicious and the staff very friendly! There salsa is awesome and has a kick to it! I am a big fan of their nachos and my wife loves their chimichanga! Highly recommend if you are in the mood for some good food!
I go here a lot after work with coworkers for food or to pick up and honestly they always give good service and put care to what you eat or take out. Also they give you chips and salsa with every Togo and you don’t have to pay extra like at other places- Love ordering from here
I came here with my girl and some of my friends and honestly hands down best place for drinks and live music. We were able to talk and get some good margaritas and they also give out extra shots in the glasses when you get a pitcher! Yeah we are definitely coming back for more
I have eaten here twice. The first time food and service were both good. I went there again yesterday and it was not a good experience. The server who was new did a good job, but the fajitas were terrible. The chicken was tasteless and the peppers and onions were scarce and burned to a crisp. My friend got the wrong order which was replaced. I do not go out much being on a fixed income and will not waste any more money at this establishment.
If I could give zero stars I would due to poor quality in service. The first impression compared to previous reviews definitely dropped the ball. I loved how they rush to seat you and then leave you at a table for 15+ minutes before you just leave. Especially when it’s not busy at all due to limited seating. I watched a couple who arrived after me and my +1 be seated immediately and serviced. Can’t spend money, if there’s no service.
Tried it for the first time and we will be back. The servers were great and the food was very good. Enjoyed the atmosphere and the fair prices.
Love Don Bonachon! Veronica and her family treat us and everyone in the restaurant as part of the family!!! Food is always hot, fresh and delicious, and the environment is always fun and spirited. We enjoy the food and drinks so much that we have dinner there at least once a week. Thanks Veronica, Wilson, Fabi and Jade…you all are the best!!!
I ordered this through Uber eats and I ordered French fries which were unsalted soggy and cold. But the worst part is that my chimichanga dinner had a large piece of plastic in the food which I did not see because it was clear and I chewed on it and nevertheless spit it out and threw the rest away. 1st and last time ordering from them!
