Im sorry say I was not impressed at all. The mac and cheese was ok. The meatloaf tasted like v8 and the greens tasted like they seasoned them with the ramen noodle packets. $15 meatloaf meal.
Uncle Willie's Soul Food and Cakes does not disappoint. The service was awesome. The food was simply delicious. The Barbeque chicken falls off the bone as you eat it. The baked beans are seasoned to perfection and the Macaroni and cheese is soooo cheesy.....then to top off all of this deliciousness, the cupcakes were so moist.....thank you Uncle Willie's for catering my son's graduation party.
Looking for a good soul food restaurant. So to goggle I head, Uncle Willie's Soul food had great reviews. After looking over the menu, I decided on what I would try and headed 13 miles to collect a delicious meal.Unfortunately, when I arrived today the restaurant had a posting on the door that stated it would be closed today and tomorrow in honor of Mother's Day. That's great but when an establishment makes unexpected changes as this, a posting update should be on website. This is how some people decide on new places to try.I will try again another time sounds like the food is good.
I stopped by Uncle Willie on Friday, April 15 to grab a slice of cake. He didn’t have any cake ready, so I ordered a single smothered pork chop. Willie insisted that I got rice and gravy with my my pork chop and I am glad he did. I sat in the parking lot to try the pork chop and ole my goodness it was so delicious. The pork chops were so tender and well seasoned that I had to go back in the restaurant and order a full plate to go. I will definitely be back for more. Wonderful customer service and great food.
Cashier was very helpful and friendly. The sides were good but the beef ribs? Weren't cooked fully and I ended up throwing them away plus I didn't get BBQ sauce .if I didn't stay 30 mins away, I would of definitely came back
YALL, I came to GA on a girls trip and KNEW I needed to get me some soul food so I looked up some local spots and settled on this place, When i got there they had an expansive menu and they let me take my time and answered my questions. Not only was the customer service great but the food was even better!I definitely recommend. Thank you for that southern hospitality and delicious soul food.
Let me just say, If I had went by a lot of the reviews, I wouldn’t have gave them a chance. I ride pass it everyday (coming and going) and didn’t stop because of the reviews. However Today the Spirit said stop and give them a chance. So I did. Of course NO ONE cooks like you. But they are definitely on the map. I may had to add some season and my own touches when I got home, but that’s expected!!! When feeding the public you have to be careful with season and the amount of use. I ordered Turkey wings, Mac and Cheese (that was NOT dry as most claimed it was) and string beans and a slice of pound cake and I’m satisfied!!
Food is really good! I enjoy my fried catfish meal with greens and yams. Everything was very flavorful and cooked perfectly. Definitely will order again. Thanks chef!
Yall first of all let us bow our heads and bless this food and the hands that prepared it for the nourishment of our body's and food for the soul. Amen and amen! I could not have been more satisfied with the food and hospitality here. I loved that the sides were meat free however every bite was simple and delicious. Everything made fresh like grandma only it's Uncle Willie burning in the kitchen. What a treat for anyone missing Grandma's cookin!
This place was super dope! The owner is soooo friendly, kind, and considerate. We were headed back home from GA and came across this restaurant. Food was delicious! I personally got fried salmon! Cake was EVERYTHING! Soul food on a Sunday! Thanks Uncle Willie!
