I absolutely love it here! If you love omelettes, you have to try one from here. You won't be disappointed! The health score was a little low this time around but I blame the county for not doing an inspection in the past year or more as I'm sure they always fix whatever the issue is. I don't eat out much these days (?) so today was a real treat. If you want some good food and something different than your usual eatery, you should definitely check out the Original Pancake House! ?️
Staff mostly youth are friendly and kind. Not worth the price or time. I usually make breakfast at home but was in a bind and needed something quick. I asked the manager/owner for a little coffee while I waited (24 minutes already) and they were not finished with our food. He said sure $2. The food was done about 17 minutes later. The waffle batter is not good. Nobody ate the waffles after one bite. The pancakes were meh. Found out my 11 yo son didn’t even eat all of them after I thought he did. The chicken tenders were part hard and super crunchy. We expected chicken wings especially for the price. We won’t be back because honestly McDonalds would have been much better food quality portions customer service (manager/owner) and price. I tipped the young lady because she was on point with her customer service. I think the $2 for coffee should have been complimentary. It’s not like there was flavored creamer or anything special. Update.
Our server was polite and pleasant. The food was very cheap and basic for the price. It came out luke warm as well. I got bacon, eggs, toast and 3 pancakes and water to drink for 20 bucks. The pankackes tasted old. Like the batter had been sitting in the fridge a couple days. Ive honestly had way better food at the waffle house! The kitchen employees were loud one of them speaking negatively about a former employee who apparently left to work at I hop (i can understand why). This place could really be a gem and from past reviews it was at one point. We have got to do better
I agree with the all the bad ratings I read. I experienced the same. My inlet did not look like an inlet. It was dry and I ate it because I was hungry and my kids were hungry. Not impressed at all. My son got 3 eggs toast and sausage links and orange juice cost $20. Good grief. Server could not get my order correct, had to repeat over and over and when the food came out, it was still wrong. I will not be returning. I thought because of the name of the establishment, it would be great but I should have read the reviews. Poor poor experience.
Arrived today (Saturday) with my two granddaughters for dine-in. Waited approx. 20 minutes to be seated with nobody on staff greeting us at all. There were two ladies ahead of us and one man came in behind us. After the two ladies were seated, the manager (I assume) walked back towards us and the man behind us stated "one", and so the manager says "just one?" and proceeds to seat him, not acknowledging myself or granddaughters at all, as the next to be seated. I decided to let that go. As he walked back, I said "we have three", and so he seated us next. Then the real wait began. More than 30 minutes before an order was taken, although we did get drinks about 10 minutes after sitting, then more waiting. My meal eventually came out, but we had no utensils, napkins, etc. to eat with, and I pointed that out to the server. About 15 minutes later, my first granddaughter's pancakes and bacon came out, and I had to ask the bus boy for syrup, as our server was gone again. More time passes, and other granddaughter finally gets her crepes with peaches. I had ordered a waffle as well, and that had not yet come out. When I asked the server, she stated the kitchen was really backed up. Of course, that waffle went in a to go box.I noticed a couple of tables of patrons leaving shortly after they sat down, as the wait was too long.Food was good, but the wait time ridiculous, especially for the pricing.Of note, I believe there were only two servers and the manager working the tables.
I will never come back! We dined in, but I also ordered a meal to go. When we got the bill there was an 18% "service charge". I begrudgingly paid the bill along with a tip. When I was leaving, I noticed a sign stating that the service charge was to be applied to to-go orders. I advised the entire bill had the charge applied and was told it was how the system is and there's nothing they can do about it. That's ridiculous. Nearly $100 for four meals that consists of bread, eggs and cheap meat is utterly ridiculous. Not to mention the restaurant looks like it could use a deep cleaning. It's a shame because we did enjoy the food. Never again!
I was out of town with family wanting to try a black owned business. We came in the door and waited standing up atleast 20 minutes , we were not greeted , I had to flag down 1 of the 2 waitresses that they had just for her to say she would be with us in a minute. There we’re atleast 6 people waiting for DoorDash Orders , 1 man who was the man manager packing up the orders who didn’t even greet us. Why are you doing doordash ordered when you have 2 servers , 1 cook and can’t even sit the people in the lobby down at a table. Finally ask the manager can we just sit down atleast to wait and he said quote “ I don’t have enough people to tell you to sit down “ when there is a sign that says wait to be seated . Me and atleast 3 other families walked out when he rudely said that. Instead of you packing doordash orders or the bust boy walking around on his phone there were multiple empty tables Some one could have sat us down at got us a drink. Oh and don’t forget you and the 2 waitresses arguing across the restaurant about who left the door unlocked.Over just highly disappointed and did not even get to try the food even though it looked good on the menu. Hire some more workers and gain some customer service skills.
The waitstaff on the most part are friendly (making this assessment after eating at this location for at least 5 years or more) but the service overall and the wait times wether dining in house or picking up an online order are horrible. We’ve been trying to support over and over. We’ve had rude staff at times. Wrong items consistently. My family has waited as long as 45 minutes to 1 hour and 10 minutes because we ran into bad service elsewhere and or this was the choice of my kids. We’ve had to get up and leave or tell em run our money (or give us a refund because we refused to wait that long/couldn’t) Absolutely ridiculous, inefficient, and low key on any given day; rude response to their mistakes. Who wants to be treated as the customer as if you made an error trying to patronize this run down, poorly managed establishment. Nah we’re good on this place. We will not give our hard earned money more importantly our time to this location. I vehemently don’t recommend this place. I worked in food service and customer service for years, prior.
I am DISGUSTED!!!! I ordered from this establishment hoping to try something new having just moved to the state. The food was good until I noticed my 1 year old choking and went to remove the food from her mouth AND IT WAS HAIR IN THE FOOD CHOKING MY BABY.! I am mortified that my babygirl even experienced this and I am physically sick to my stomach. I contacted the manager about the issue and he offered to make another. I assured him I WANT NOTHING FROM THAT KITCHEN EVER AGAIN! I am posting this review to warn the others who have questioned this establishment before. You are not crazy !
The first time we ordered the chicken and waffles from Uber eats they forgot the chicken entirely. Thankfully we had that order refunded but made the mistake of giving them another try. This time our waffles arrived with 3 tiny chicken nuggets on top. It tasted like prison food. Total rip off.
