The food is good but some times run out of jerk chicken. Tried the jerk pork once, flavor was good but way to much fat. They have shorted the plantains on multiple orders. Here's a thought, make more plantains. If you have extras at the end of the day , I'll buy them.
I’ve started to work my way at trying different Jamaican spots around DeKalb. Red Hills Jerk did not disappoint. I had the “small” plate (which is plenty) for $10 and it came with everything in the picture minus the beef paddy. Yes, they do charge a 4% card fee so bring some cash to save some cash. The staff were friendly and even offered what kind of sauce I wanted on the rice (ox tail sauce for me). This is not fast food. Plates take around 10-15 min to prepare, which is worth it for the quality you’re getting. Give this place a shot. The jerk is more on the spicy end but the jerk sauce balances it out nicely.
I would not recommend this place the service is terrible number 1 the fair skin woman at the register has had a attitude every time I've came to this establishment very argumentative when I asked her to stop being rude and walking away from customers...... asking question about my food and her responses were very dry ignorant the 30 min wait for calaloo roti isn't fresh hard the veggies are all canned One thing about me I love fresh Caribbean food Caribbean food establishments who understand that feeding your people processed food only adds to the problem I literally had to walk out of the establishment and keep my cool as the lady at the register yelled I got the wrong one all because I asked her to calmly stop trying to take multiple people's orders when you aren't finished with me Because of my experience I have reached out to the manager and the BB it's time to put it into these establishments that are being rude to people who support and keep you all open
Food quality is TRASH…. The food is just NOT good at all. Jerk chicken dry , rice n peas mushy , Mac and cheese taste like stove top Mac , plantains undercooked … cabbage is the only good thing . Customer service sucks too. They pass out the wrong order , they have a service fee for using your card and the workers are not welcoming . I’ll pass
Very delicious food! I ordered the jerk chicken meal. Good-sized portions and well-prepared! I found my new Jamaican food spot!I know some reviews bash the customer service but the lady who works the counter by herself seems overwhelmed. I don’t justify rude behavior, I didn’t experience it but I must say let’s be empathetic as well. You can only smile so much when working during busy times, while on your feet all day, phone constantly ringing, customers waiting. I see they are hiring, give black-owned, immigrant business a chance.
Bad customer service the lady behind the register lack customer service she had an attitude and cut me off while i order. The food is ok but service needs work. I wanted to walk away and not give them my money but l had family from out of town who were hungry. I'll go to Eat Right great customer service.
Man I was the first customer in there. Waited 10 mins to get acknowledged. Lol started to get pack finally a team member pops out. I order 2(literally ) coco bread that’s it. So while the team member takes care (I mean this loosely) of other customers 20 mins pass by. I been in there over 30 mins by now. Smh. Not to mention. I originally ordered a jerk chicken pasta after 2:00 pm. Smh lol I was told they cooked to order and that’s fine that lady ain’t want to even get me out da way knowing I had the smallest order probably all day smh. All I heard consistently was gimme a few gimme a few lol man lady y’all can keep the$ 3.& change I paid for two coco bread 20 min ago smh udk who I am and am so glad I was treated this way. I won’t ever return to this establishment and if anyone reading this is treated or has been done the same I suggest likewise don’t even pull up b/c first things first be prepared to wait b/c you more than likely finna wait. Lol
The food is good but the customer service is by far the worst. I was waiting for over 20 minutes to place an order the guy in the back came out and grabbed himself a patty never acknowledged the line of customers and walked straight back I have an hour lunch break and they literally sucked up the entire break. I keep trying to support this restaurant the ladies who work the front are rude and have zero customer service but after my experience today I will not be coming back
I can no longer deal with the girl and her horrible attitude. Seriously! Is she mad that we patronizing them? Does she not want the job anymore? What’s her deal? The 4 stars must be the food. Which on a scale of 1-10 is about 7.5.But I just can’t handle her anymore! Then they never pick up the phone cause I feel like maybe if I can order ahead and have it ready, I’ll have less of an interaction with her!Mind you I live in Lawrenceville which is a good 30mins away. So I’m good for now. I’ll eat the 5 level food that appreciates me.
This place is good always constant. They are not fast but always good food.
