Had great customer service and great food.

I absolutely loved this diner. Food was delicious. And the cake's! Wow! I wanted to try every one! $8.00 a piece. They had Chicken Marcella on the menu & I had to try it! Soooo good ? onion rings were awesome ?You can bring the whole family. Oh yeah & the atmosphere was pretty nice also. They have oldies music playing so it's a real diner experience if you like that sort of thing!

Variety of menu…very good quality

During a hotel stay at the Country Inn and Suites in Stone Mountain, my wife and I were looking for a convenient place to eat lunch before a party. We tried the Metro Café Diner which is within walking distance (across a wide, busy highway) from the hotel. We arrived at the hotel about 4PM and walked across. Eating at Metro Café Diner is a unique experience that goes beyond its food. Upon entering the dining room, we were greeted by classic hit music from the 50s and 60s. There was a TV set mounted near the ceiling, streaming music videos from Music Choice’s Golden Oldies cable channel. It was refreshing to see videos of the music I grew up with as a kid being played. As we moved further into the dining room, we stood in front a large display case of the most colorful and delicious-looking cakes and desserts. It brought back pleasant memories of retro diners that bake on premise in New Jersey. Like those diners, Metro serves an extensive list of burgers, sandwiches, panini, appetizers and other comfort foods for lunch as well as breakfast and dinner dishes. But unlike most traditional NJ diners, Metro Café has a bar and can serve alcohol with your meal as well soft drinks and coffee. Our hostess seated us, and we ordered drinks – sweet tea and orange juice. For lunch, my wife ordered a mushroom and Swiss cheeseburger with French fries, and I ordered the Metro Melt burger – a burger covered with cheese and caramelized onions on a marbleized bread – with fries. My sweet tea was delicious. I just loved my Metro Melt burger. The burger was cooked well, and the combination of the onion and sweet marbleized bread was very good. My wife enjoyed her mushroom Swiss burger as well. My only regret is that we were in hurry and could not stay to sample a slice of one of those tempting cakes before returning to the hotel. Though Metro is within walking distance of County Inn & Suites, you must cross busy roadways at the intersection of E Park Pl Blvd and Rockbridge Rd SW to get there and back. Stone Mountain installed cross walk traffic lights - in addition to the traffic lights used by the cars - to help pedestrians cross safely. You push a button and wait for the red hand symbol to turn into a white image of a person walking to cross. We found the crosswalk traffic lights to be very slow in changing to walk after pressing the button, while the change to stop walking is faster than expected. You need to jog across the road in order to outrun the changing traffic light across E. Park Pl Blvd.

This is My #1 spot to go ? It’s in my neighborhood with easy access/parking ect… The food is always Delish, no matter what I order n the service is superb ? Thanks for being my favorite go to spot … Ms Ronda?????

Had dinner today, Easter Sunday. The service was terrible. Our server came over seemingly uninterested in providing exceptional service. She never introduced herself or said hello. She went right into asking us what we wanted to order. No smile, etc. She wasn't paying attention to anything we requested; as we kept having to repeat ourselves. After our meal, I requested a dessert menu. She yells over to the other server to bring me a dessert menu. She walks away. I looked over at her to let her know that we would like dessert and instead of her coming to our table, she speaks loudly across the floor to ask us if we wanted dessert. She reluctantly walked over to the table when I refused to scream across the floor. I then ordered dessert; she proceeds to tell the kitchen that the order was to-go (did not tell her that). When my mom saw that they were putting the dessert in a container, she alerted the server and the other server dumped...Turned over the pie onto a plate. The beautiful pie with whipped cream now turned over on it's side. Now, I'm supposed to eat a turned over pie. Our server decided it was ok to bring me an overturned pie on a plate, tand with further disinterest she brought it to me with a plastic fork. I asked for the manager. He was worse. As I explained the horrible service, he kept "yes, baby(ing)" me. Yes, baby? Am I a customer or his lover? He didn't care at all, wasn't listening then goes and brings me another pie, then two forks indicating to us to eat the turned over pie...as if I just wanted another pie (for free). No apology for the bad service and never came back to our table to make sure that we were good.

Food was average at best and online ordering system is horrible. Ordered patty melt, when I got the box home (10 mins away) the sandwich was soggy at bottom and falling apart. The ff’s were battered and were some of the worst I’ve ever had. With so many great diners around Atlanta, I’d have to be pretty desperate to try the Metro in Stone Mountain again.

This place has some great food and customer service! They also have a big bakery counter that has giant cookies , cakes, and cheesecakes that are awesome looking.I had the chicken wings there, and I would be going back there on a weekly basis if I lived in that area. Overall, I would recommend making this a stop if you are in the area.

Good service. nice and clean but food was lousy and expensive. club sandwich was like something you would get a high school cafeteria

What an AMAZING experience. We were staying in the area with limited travel options and this restaurant was right up the street. Walking in the door you see a montage of desserts cakes and cheesecakes. While it was busy, the staff was friendly and attentive. Our server was phenomenal. He took time for each thing we needed even as he covered multiple tables. The food..... LOVED IT!!!! Portion sizes-great and taste-fantastic. It was enough that we are and took food back to the hotel. We were in Stone Mountain 6 days we are there 3 days and I was able to enjoy leftovers for the other days. I highly recommend making a pass thru. You won't be disappointed.
