The food isn’t bad but it isn’t great. I’ve tried 3 different entrees & only one was actually worth the purchase. I don’t want to seem as if I’m trying to downplay this establishment but it’s the truth. I ordered meatloaf & it was pink on the inside. I had a bad stomach ache the next morning at work. I had fried chicken & it was really dry. I also ordered neck bones & I was say that plate was delicious. The sides aren’t too much to praise either. It may be the times that I arrive to pick up a plate which is usually in the afternoon but they are usually busy so I don’t understand why food wouldn’t be fresh. With all that being said please if you like soul food & just want something to get you by, this is your place. If you like good soul food then I wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy.
Restaurant has been remodeled since I was there last with outdoor seating available now. The food is still good and well reasoned. Highly recommend.
Now this was my first time ever going to this restaurant the only reason I gave them 2 stars is because the collar greens were on point !!!!! I definitely give them a eight out of 10 but they should be so disappointing themselves with their macaroni and cheese that was the most salty macaroni and cheese I’ve ever had in my life !!!!!!!!!!! if you have a problem with your salt intake that is not the place for you to go I also grabbed two peach cobbler‘s which was just overly sweet it tasted like sugar and peaches I also got a sweet potato pie !!! To be honest it just tasted like boiled sweet potatoes mixed with butter and put in a crust you could not taste any cinnamon no vanilla No nutmegso disappointing such a waste of money the gravy overpowers the pork chopI won’t be returning!!
Great food and great proportions however they have absolutely terrible customer service. I tried to place an order over the phone for a whiting plate that is cooked fresh, they told me they don’t take phone orders. When I arrived at 5, they said “we stopped serving fried fish at 4:30..”But if you can get passed their limited serving hours, limited food supply and awful customer service you will enjoy the food. Also their website is old as hell and they haven’t served breakfast for three years apparently.. happy eating.
They were out of BBQ chicken and black eyed peas and the turkey wings I got were terrible and tough to eat. Nothing was seasoned well either. My mother is from Alabama so I know what real good soul food tastes like, and this place ain't it! Won't be going back.
Had not been by in a while I'm not sure if they're Under New Management it looks like the outside has had a facelift however I could always count on the turkey wings today I bought a lunch and a dinner with the turkey wings took the lunch to my mom in the hospital she spit it out along with the rice and gravy corn bread and cabbage. I thought maybe it was her taste buds got home and it was horrible so I wasted $30+
A variety of great tasting country cooking menus. Each dinner costs in the low to mid teens. A very good deal. I have come back here several times. It's good eating. Thank you King's Southern Delight.
Ordered on Door Dash. I got the baked chicken rice and gravy and dressing. The chicken is still red and raw.
I was attempting to place an order for my family as well as a friend who is recovering from surgery. After viewing the menu online, I noticed that the side items were not listed. I called the establishment to ask about the side items for the veggie plate. The rude customer service representative stated that he would not disclose the side items via telephone because they are on the menu online, but they are not.No Problem, I guess this means you no longer want my business.Thank you.
