Story time! ??So I moved from Midtown to Stone Mountain. I’m being a foodie, I was a little worried about the food scene in Stone Mountain. A neighbor told me about this place and let me tell you it is some of the best food ever! I came here first and got the fried chicken with a side of mustard greens and potatoes. Delicious! I came back and got the fillet with a side of mustard greens and the beets. Amazing! the drinks are nice and strong and the service is wonderful. Oh and the bread pudding is divine
Came here for brunch, the mimosas were very good with fresh orange zest. I ordered the savory chicken and waffles per our waiters suggestion., It was good although I’m more of a sweets person, would have probably liked it better with good old fashioned syrup. Staff were all very nice and welcoming. The ambience and decor was also very nice, although there are no booths which I prefer. Very nice place for brunch!
This delightful gem is set up in one of the many historic buildings in the heart of Stone Mountain Village. The staff is mature, welcoming, and attentive, and I was quite impressed with the taste of the food. The fried starters (Calamari and Okra) were tasty and light, and the housemade sauces complimented them beautifully. The Rainbox Trout w/Pecan Butter was cooked perfectly and the chosen sides of Snap Beans and Gold Beets were delicious. I tasted the care and thought that went into preparation and serving. I look forward to returning to try more dishes (especially the BBQ) and learn more about this business and the building. ??
Amazing food and ambiance! The ribs were perfectly seasoned, will come back to try more on the menu. Great first experience in the private dining section, 1000% would recommend!!Came back two weeks later, the lamb is my new favorite dish! Incredibly tasty. ?
This was my first time at Cherokee Rose BBQ and it was a great experience. I was promptly greated at the door when I walked in for brunch. The service was great and the brunch menu is outstanding. I went with the BBQ Hash with Eggs and added a Mimosa. Everything was tasty and prepared well. While there, I glanced at the dinner menu and the selections would make for a great dinner out. In addition to BBQ, which you would expect, they had several nice cuts of beef and pork as well as some seafood options. There were also a good number of sides to choose from.I will definitely be back!
Y’all, this place is the REAL DEAL! Friendly wait staff, delightful manager/hostess, and an owner who is eager to greet his new and soon-to-be loyal clientele. The food is richly full of flavor, and the portions are HUGE (bring your appetite!). I had the Front Quarter Shredded Pork, with the Dill and Lavender Creamed Potatoes, and the Burgundy Mushrooms, accompanied by the most delicious thinly sliced pickled cucumbers. My wife had the Crawfish Cake (small plate) with the creamed potatoes as a side order addition. This was easily among the 4 or 5 finest meals we’ve had in our 25 years living in the Atlanta area, on point with Babette’s, Bacchanalia, and The Capitol Grille. Our delicious meal was accompanied by their “southern table wine” (sweet tea, with just one extra grain of sugar beyond the perfect amount of sugar!), and crowned with the Chocolate Pot Creme, and the Chocolate Kahlua Pecan Pie.The huge portions are well worth the price. We will be back! 5 stars. Bon appetit!
this place is phenomenal. from the moment you walk in, the staff and the owners make you feel like family. we’re regulars but got the exact same friendly treatment our first couple times visiting. they’ve recently opened up for brunch and you absolutely need to visit. I will dream about the pimento grit bowl with shrimp tonight, and I don’t normally enjoy grits or pimento….it was that good. everything they serve comes out at the right temperature, the wait staff are so friendly and foresee your needs so you’re able to really enjoy your dining experience. we love coming here on Friday nights for a good time and now can’t wait to come back for sat/sun brunch. they frequently have live music, the menu changes seasonally and they can host private parties in their party space. the ambiance is the perfect mix of classy and casual. we’ve never ordered anything off the menu we didn’t enjoy - our favorites for dinner are the pulled pork, creamed turnips, and the scallops. brunch is excellent with our faves being the aforementioned pimento grit shrimp bowl, the waffles, the pecan coffee cake and the eggs/bacon. there is no better meal to be had in Stone Mountain Village. This is consistently one of my most favorite restaurants to visit!
A breath of fresh dining in a beautiful space. BBQ and sides were impeccable, the appetizers are not to be missed! Had such an enjoyable evening w friends, overall great experience. Highly recommend!
One of best restaurants I have ever been to! Atmosphere, music, food and drinks were amazing! Must check it out.
My first time visiting this restaurant I was pleasantly surprised everyone especially Josh was very pleasant, helpful and nice. The food was delicious plus the music Amy on keyboardist was fantastic loved the atmosphere. This is the best thing to happen to Stone Mountain in a long time.
