This place never disappoints. They serve large portions and are so kind. I got a vegetable plate today and The hubby got fried chicken w veggies
Check your order before leaving. I ordered 2 piece fried chicken with 2 thighs. The thighs were smaller than whole wings.
The food was hot and basic, decent & edible. The cornbread could use a little sugar.... Edit: I came back earlier around lunch and everything I got was much better. I'm happy I came back... Timing is everything. I'll return because I enjoyed my meal. They still have to work on that cornbread tho ?
The Customer service and food was great! The liver was seasoned and a great portion size. The peach cobbler is delicious and not super sweet but just right.
I wish I could give no stars. I was down here in the area and decided to try it out. I got bake chicken, Lima beans and cabbage.. The chicken had to much season that’s wasn’t even baked into the chicken, the Lima beans had no flavor and the cabbage wasn’t cut up right and also had no flavor… I also had peach cobbler the crust was doughy ..I asked was the green seasoned with pork or turkey because I don’t eat pork, she said they were seasoned with chicken butts lol ( that’s a new one to me)..No Offense to anyone but if you are black you will not like this food.. I wasted $20I will never go back,
I love Sarah's. Great soul food and nice employees. I get the vegetable plate and good ol' sweet tea with a splash of lemonade. If I go there on a Friday, I get Catfish. It's hot and fresh right out of the grease.
So irritating! Prices have gone up on their meals. Purchased a veggie plate. The macaroni was runny. I saw an employee put cabbage on top of the cabbage container. It did not look fresh. Sure enough, it wasn't fresh. It was soggy and not crisp at all. And AGAIN, the staff forgot the biscuit. I didn't find all this out until I drove home and we sat down for dinner. I understand, as a merchant, that prices must go up but must it be sacrificed for less satisfaction. At the very least, give the customer a good reason to raise your prices and what happened today, isn't it!

Sarah 'put her foot" in every dish. Fried chicken and pork chops were spectacular. Had black-eyed peas, Collard greens, green beans, candied Yams and fried Okra. No frozen veggies here! All fresh and delicious. Rolls and Cornbread muffins were special, too. ❤️ this place!
Amazing food. Everything tasted great. Everyone was very friendly. There are dishes served daily and there are others that change depending on the day. I highly recommend their food.
