I have to drive from Ellenwood Ga to Stockbridge Ga to get some decent, good, freshly cooked and prepared food! The young lady that operates the drive through was Awesome, professional, and eagerness to serve me! Did I forget to give their grade scale….A- 94!! Thanks to the managers and staff teammates for making Captain Dee’s a successful drive-through place of eateries!! Happy Customers!
The food was ? AMAZING but the speaker for placing your order was out and the inside was closed. The line wrapped around the building because everything had to be made to order once you got to the drive through window to place your order. I would say my wife and I waited about an hour in line but it was Sunday and we didn't have anywhere else to go. That speaker needs to be fixed ASAP or you are going to lose ALOT of business.
I ordered two 4 piece meals with broccoli and macaroni and cheese. I was told to pull around. I waited 45 minutes in the drive-thru. When I got to the window, the cashier took my debit card and then proceeded to hand me a box of food in a bag. She dropped it. I was nice about it, people make mistakes. I then asked about my other order and she said that she only rang me up for 1 not 2. So, I had to wait for another 15 minutes for the order to be made. I asked for D's sauce before she handed me the bag. I got home and the new order looked like someone just threw the food in the box....my fish was covered with broccoli and macaroni. My sauce...sweet and sour. I was really upset. Since management asked me to write a review, here you go.( I received a useless reply from management for this instead of them stepping up to actually do something about this situation. Thanks for not caring about "Customer Service".)

Always loved Captain D's, as fast food goes. This particular location 138 in Stockbridge - the workers are amazing! I showed up during a shift changed and watched the manager/cook and 1 cashier totally take care of 4 of us inside and a line of cars around the block, with professional, kindness and efficiency!
This was the worst experience EVER. If I could give a NEGATIVE 5 I would. Attitude starts at the top and I owned this restaurant, the first thing that I would do is fire the night staff. As a Store Manager myself I was so appalled at the way that I was treated at this establishment. I pulled up at the drive thru at 7:40 and sat there for 15 minutes, when I got to order at 7:54, the young lady said " We're Closed." So I asked her what time did they close and her response was NOW. So I asked again what time did they close and again I was told "RIGHT NOW". So I asked for the Manager who came on and again stated that they have been closing at early at 8pm for the last 2 weeks and I explained to her that it was NOT 8pm yet and I had been in line for about 20 minutes. She turned off the headset while I was talking. Needless to say at a Store Manager, first I would never allow ANY of my employees to address any customer that way, because customers is what pays the bills and salaries. Next ALL of our shops are short staffed, some day running with 1 person in the front and 1 person in the shop and we don't close early nor do we turn customers away especially if they have been waiting. And food for thoughts, we were about to order $40 worth of food and there was another car behind us which had 3 people in it. So let's say that they would have order $30 worth of food, that is $70 and lets multiple that by 30 days, that is $2,100 a month that your staff is turning away. Again attitude starts at the top and the leadership that I experienced was very SUBPAR. Needless to say I will NEVER spend another penny in this restaurant. But truthfully business is about taking care of the customers and dollars and cents, and I can truly tell you that if this is how your staff treats your customers on a daily basis just in the small example that I gave earlier, your restaurant is losing a minimal of at least $25,000 a year. Not to mention that this location is already closing 2 hours early. NEGATIVE 5 IS MY REVIEW FOR THIS LOCATION. TAKE YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE.
The food was good. I ordered the fish and chicken meal, with fried okra and loaded baked potato, and a sweet tea with no ice. They did not put sour cream in my order for the potato, and my tea was full of ice. My biggest complaint was the more than 30 minutes I spent in the drive thru line. I was the 3rd car from the order board when I got there, and waited at the board for almost 8 minutes just to give them my order.
I was there picking up an order for delivery via DoorDash. It was ridiculous delivery drivers are not allowed to pick up inside, nor is there a place that they can pull to the side call and have the orders brought out to them, they have to sit in the stinking drive-thru we're apparently all orders are made to order and it took almost an hour to get this lady's food. They need to remember that's their customer also and do better by the delivery drivers. I've blacklisted them I will not go back to pick up orders until they are open on the inside and I can walk inside.!
Very friendly people. The speaker where you place your order was out, but they handled the situation well and kept the line moving. Looking forward to going back. Oh, the food was first rate, too.
I absolutely love fish and I hadn't had any in quite a while so I was eager to get me some Cap'n D's...When I ate it it was Delicious! The next day however, for reasons I can't put my finger on, my stomach was very bothered! I went to the bathroom several times in a row the next morning! I had only eaten the Cap'n D's fish the night before so it couldn't have been anything else! So I'm not sure what the problem was but there definitely was a problem! But Like I said I really love Cap'n D's but this particular time it left me with an unhappy tummy! ?
