We ordered BBQ, potato salad and Macaroni for my moms 95th birthday celebration. The food was delicious!! We all enjoyed it (prices were very reasonable) and it is my pleasure to recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting an incredible meal!! Thank you for making this a very memorable celebration!!!
We had 4pc chicken finger basket with fries. Chicken was hot, crispy, and huge! Taste was fantastic. Fries were good too, but they were light warm. Atmosphere there is awesome. Wouldn't change a thing. It's rustic country, and you'll love it. Frontage in the street is being modified right now, so just go slow and find the unpaved entrance.
The customer service was good and the restaurant was clean. The food was good but was missing a little taste to it. It may be the way they season the food but other than that its good.
I like the decor of the place, but was confused with the layout. I guess you have to order it at the counter and get your own drinks. Got the $16 brisket plate and a side, which I got a salad. The meat was juicy, but not necessarily in a good way with a good amount of fat I had to pick off. Didn't have much smokiness or flavor at all. I tried the the sweet and the vinegar sauces and they were OK, but nothing special. Salad was basic iceberg lettuce, nothing to write home about. AND i was hungry. Ick. Wanted to try this place, but will never come back. Even something like Shane's Rib shack is 10 times better than the food here.
We love being abnle to zip around the corner to get for our lunch or dinner chopped pork and chicken fingers which we know will be better than anything similar that could cook at home.
Some of the best BBQ in the world, almost as good as mine! I LOVE this place! Great folks, great food, and great southern atmosphere so do yourself a favor and run don't walk straight over there and try the fried pickles!!!
Was impressed the first time I ordered the fried shrimp with the size and taste. This time the shrimp was not deveined properly and many pieces I had to clean myself. We'll try the fried shrimp again. The barbecue however was excellent. The reason for the low rating was the shrimp. I would suggest larger to go portions of the banana pudding as it was really good as well.
Omg soooo good! Just had the brisket plate with fries and mac & cheese, and order of fried pickles, and some banana pudding for dessert. Hands down the best BBQ we've ever had! The sweet and smokey sauce is so good too! Our son just turned 1 and this is the first time he's ever had BBQ and I can't believe how much he ate! He's tried mac & cheese before and not liked it but this one he loved and killed the brisket too! Also, I'm not one to really like the fat on meat but this fat was perfectly crispy on the outer part and the rest just melts in your mouth ? We're staying at a nearby hotel just for fun and this just made our night even more special. We'll be back tomorrow to buy a bottle of the sweet and smokey BBQ sauce for only $4.99! Thank you guys for the awesome dinner ❤
SUPPORT LOCAL RESTAURANTS - We eat here all the time. The BBQ is the best in town. The smother covered (without cheese) is by far the best thing on the menu, even though it's ALL good. Bought everyone gift cards for Christmas so they could go eat too.
Excellent BBQ! We shared an Uncle Shugs BBQ sampler and fried pickles. Absolutely the best BBQ I have ever had! And, don't miss the hand cut seasoned fries. What a treat!Plenty of parking. I noticed they were doing a lot of carryout business. This is not your typical BBQ restaurant. This restaurant looks great and has a lot of character. We chose to eat inside of the restaurant. Great friendly service. The restaurant is very clean. We ate inside but noticed they have a nice big patio for outdoor seating.My recommendation is GO! You will enjoy it!
