I got the bone in roti and wow it was tasty, fresh and made well. Will go back .
First time calling to order roti and a few other edibles from this restaurant and I was told, I cannot order roti skin. If I want I can place the order this week and pick it up next week. I have never heard this in my life before. Sooo, if I'm having a gathering in the afternoon apparently I have to place my order last week and pick it up this coming week?. You don't do business that way. I come from roti shop family in new york, you don't do business like that. You don't turn away customers. But guess what?? I'm going to open a roti shop right in snellville and give you guys competition. YOU DONT EVER TURN AWAY CUSTOMERS. I have never in my life heard I cannot order roti skin and pick it up in an hour or 2..this is crazy. Either you need a new roti cook or you need to change your employees. Now, I have to drive to tassa roti shop seeing that u guys were closer I thought it would of been better. But turning me down only sent me to another restaurant.
This place sells amazing taste roti, but for the price they charge compare to the portion, I think I'll hop to buy the roti skin and put in my own content. The roti is as small as a beef patty. They are really cheating their customers. I'd prefer you raise the price and give a decent portion, but taking $14 and most of the roti is skin...that tells me they are ripping off their customers. I'm highly disappointed!!!
Waited over 30 minutes for a simple order of chicken & goat roti’s …. Many of which were not wrapped… they served people who ordered 5-10 mins after me. They kept on saying they were waiting on roti skin… You’re a roti shop & you run out of skin on a Saturday? Never going back & don’t recommend it to anyone…
Very Disappointed.I've eaten here many times.I've even told people about the food her.But I haven't visited for a few months and I was desiring to get somethings from De One Roti Shop. When I got there I saw many new faces.I ordered the usual things;Pholourie, $5 worth of doubles, beef Roti, and two slices of current roll.To my surprise EVERYTHING had no seasoned taste! The polyurethane was flavorless as well as the sauce, the curry gravy was very runny with about 5 small pieces of potatoes. The pushup shot lack taste. Then there current roll lacked flavor. So disappointed. ? ?First time I've experienced this from this Roti Shop. Will give it another try though ..
Veggie roti was $12 by itself and it was mostly skin. No tamarind sauce available. No pholourie available either. *sigh* I've been looking for legit Trini roti ever since I moved to ATL and have been sorely disappointed. I was so excited to try this place and it satisfied my craving, but I can't say I'd necessarily come back.
. Sat 4/9 2:45 pm. One of my orders was the Chinese style chicken plate to go. When I saw the chicken I can immediately tell it was not fresh and was re-heated. I am very familiar with the kitchen and know when chicken is not freshly cooked. I told the server the chicken is old and she said they don’t re-heat food. She then turned to someone else and repeated what I said. She too said the same rehearsed line, I then tasted the chicken and it tasted as I suspected. It was dry and hard and discolored. The bone was black. The rice was very dark with no vegetables. The manager came out and we all repeated what was originally said. I decided to leave with the food. Be reminded that I travelled 45 mins to patronize this establishment. The Manager proceeded to follow me outside to the parking lot to ask “why we Trinis so” about pulling down each other. 1. Every food establishment needs to learn about customer service and 2. Why is the manager fallowing the customers outside to confront them about what occurred in the restaurant. This could have easily escalated to a gun fight….. but I have a cool head and walked away after telling him it’s about customer service. There was only one person in the establishment and his concern was not that me the customer had a complaint about the food but was about why my complaint was in front other customer”s”. What should have happened is after my initial comment, an apology would have gone a long way and a suggestion to replace the chicken or the entire meal would be the next step. If these two steps were done I would always talk about the excellent service but sadly my only memory is the Manager following me out to the car park to further antagonize the situation. At this point I am still not confident that this will not hit other media sites. You not only lost me as a customer but I will no longer recommend you to anyone. ….
I'm from Barbados and love Roti. We drove an hour to get roti and it was amazing. We got 2 chicken without bone, 1 beef, 1 veg and 1 shrimp roti. We also got 3 doubles and 4 beef patties.Everything is awesome. The Roti was so huge and it's 2 meals for me.Only reason you gave 4 stars is they forget our beef patties. Thank goodness we remembered and went back before we got too far.Still was worth the drive. Delicious.
The food was delish! I had the vegetable roti, bbq chicken with fried rice and curry goat roti. If you want authentic trini food this is the place to go!
Curry chicken was undercook, no need to describe the situation it’s in the pic
