One thing I can say was that the food was definitely tasty! Customer service was just trash! I ordered my food during the evening on Cinco De Mayo. I already knew I had to wait so that wasn’t a problem. When I went to get my food, it had been stolen and the hostess was at FIRST sympathetic about my order not being there. So I was real calm about it because stuff happens, but they made me pay for my order still. I thought that since it was out of our control they would at least comp it! Why would I get my own food stolen? Definitely could have been handled better.Edit: Take what I said about the food back because I definitely found a stem in the dip I ordered. Tried to give the benefit of the doubt but I guess it was all over bad ??♀️
I hate to write this because this has been my favorite restaurant for some time. We would go 2-3 times a week, however, since the last manager left (guy with bald head, not certain of his name) , the service, food and cleanliness has taken a nosedive. We went on Tuesday and I requested a table. The hostess smirked and said “A booth” under her breath. She walked over to clean a table off but I saw where there was one near the kitchen that was already clean and asked if we could sit there. She said no and continued to clean the table. She then told us the table was ready, however there was trash and food under the table. I asked if someone could sweep underneath and this seemed to bother her as well. At this point I was ready to go but my son convinced me to stay. Fast forward to last night, my best friend suggested we go to Zama’s and I mentioned the service I received on Tuesday. He said “Maybe it will be different” It was worse! I asked for a Miami Vice which was brought to the table all mixed in. I have ordered this many times without a problem. I sent it back and asked for the server to just bring a pina colada. Look at the photo. Lol. My friend said “Send that back”. The food was cold and I asked for shredded chicken and not grilled chicken but I kept what was brought out because at this point I was tired. We then asked for the manager, he saw the drink and took it back, they brought the wrong drink again. The server said “They brought the wrong drink again??!” Even he noticed. Lol We are waiting for the location in Kennesaw to open up.
The worst, we waited 45 -50 minutes for a kids plate. Everyone got their food and I asked 2xs before they finally came out with this. Really?! Just say you didn’t have that menu item available. This was so bad that I’m writing this review at their table
The food was so flavorful and delicious!! They had so many veggie options to choose from and many that were different from most places. The food is priced very reasonably (maybe besides some of the appetizers) and does not break the bank!!
Pros: convenient location, decent prices, plenty of parking, wide variety of menu options.Cons: service was very, very slow. Took an hour for my 2 tacos to come out and they came out wrong. Server was not attentive and didn't come by to check on us. The food was disappointing, bland and cold.Neutral: the atmosphere was ok. Full service bar.I wouldn't recommend and likely won't visit again.
great slocal spot for laye night dining and watching games at bar. Across from hotel i stayed told me to come here, so i went, lol!
Margaritas!
No menus. Have to use a QR scanner to read a menu. You’re kind of screwed if it doesn’t work. Asked for a menu and was met with a look of bewilderment. Had to share my wife’s phone to be able to order. Took way too long for the server to take our order. They had plenty of servers on shift, so staffing was not an issue. No prices on the drink menu. Food was overpriced and just ok. Very small portions for the price. Chips had no salt and there wasn’t a salt shaker on the table. Really nice looking place, but all style and no substance as far as food or service.
stayed at the Rodeway Inn across the street and they said ZAMA is great so we came and had a great time. Thanks Vim at Rodeway Inn!
Food was great! Drinks were even better, we got here in time for their happy hour special. I ordered the fish tacos, they were great. I also ordered the coconut shrimp for my appetizer and their queso. The coconut shrimp weren’t that great, they were cooked a little too long and had way too much coconut on them. The queso was delicious. Our server was very attentive and made sure to keep checking on us.
