We got seated and someone brought us chips, but no one ever came back to the table, we didn’t have drinks, people constantly walked by, we ate the chips and left lol
Stopped in after a Braves baseball game. The restaurant was very busy. The food was delicious, hot and fresh. Our waitress was disappointing. It took a while for her to come get our order, she never brought our appetizer, never refilled my drink and it took forever for her to bring our check. I would try to get her attention, but she would never come to our table. She would go to the tables on both sides of us. Giving the benefit of the doubt, it may have been along day as we were there about an hour before closing.We would definitely go back if we are in the area and hopefully she will have a better day or we get another waitress. The food and drinks are worth it!
Wide variety of menu, with close to authentic flavors. Hidden gem. Only bad experience was low lighting that could not read the menu
Mannn I can’t stand being hungry as hell, going to a restaurant that charges about $10 up per an item. Especially nachos and cheese for $15 and them being stingy with literally everything but the onions, and green pepper.. like if you get nachos & cheese, you expect nachos & cheese. Not just nachos, two piece’s of chicken.. plenty of onions, green peppers.. like where the HELL IS THE CHEESE!?!?Lemonade was great though ☝?
I visited this restaurant on March 26, 2022 and will be the last time I ever eat here. We waited more than an hour to receive our food. Other parties that arrived after us, received their meals before us. When we voiced our concerns to the owner he told us “if you all didn’t like it, don’t come back”. I’ve never been treated that way at any restaurant in my life. I’ve definitely had better Mexican food elsewhere! After that experience we proceeded to pay and of course a tip was not thought of being the poor service and the owner says “you not gonna leave a tip?”. I was so shocked! I couldn’t believe he would speak to us in that manner and then expect a tip. I would never visit this restaurant ever again!
Fun and affordable. Good variety and popular dishes. Can’t get busy and they may be short staffed. Be patient and take some time to enjoy the place. Because of the fast paced environment at peak times, expect some attitude back. Ok for a casual or a social meal/ get together. Food is good but could be better. $$$
Some really great fajitas and my wife loved the shrimp tacos. It's better than a lot of other local places. Plenty of seating and the staff is very nice. I've been back many times for lunch. The lunch menu is a good price and filling. I've never finished a whole meal.
I almost never give one star reviews. I understand what it’s like to work in the restaurant business and I know for sure everyone and every restaurant has a bad day every once in a while. However, my time at The Border Mexican Restaurant was less than subpar. First it took the waiter 15 minutes to greet us, okay, busy night I understand. Then our drink order took another 15 minutes to get to us. Another 5 minutes goes by before our queso arrives which we ordered when we were greeted. The queso was already congealed from being cold, no biggy my wife and I say they’re just having a bad night. As we dig into the cold queso my wife pulls a hair out of it. Once again, not a big deal to us, we’d just like a remake of it. No problem we say it happens. Our food comes out about 20 minutes later and when it arrives both of our orders are wrong. We try to flag the waiter down and at this point are beginning to get annoyed. Another 10 minutes for our food to come out and when the plate gets dropped off we never see the waiter again. We have to go upfront and grab the manager to get the check. We still have our waiter a tip, because we know what it’s like to get stiffed, but man this restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. I for one will never be returning.
One of the worst Mexican restaurants I have ever had in my life!!! The salsa is Good the rice disgusting, the beans even worse! I had Carne Asada Tacos, even The meat was horrible! I have to call and complain, it was not seasoned well, I ordered two orders and threw everything away and kept the chips and salsa! Didn't want anyone else to become sick so I HAD TO THROW IT AWAY! Honest would never recommend. Please don't save your money PLEASE, Crazy thing is your better off at TACO bell and Noone wants them
Never will eat here again!! I ordered on doordash and my chicken from burrito was hard and dry like it was scraps of chicken. The chips tasted burnt. The beef soft tacos were bland. I called the restaurant to let them know about the chicken and the manager tells me that all of their chicken is like that… HARD and DRY because it’s chicken breast so it’s going to be dry smh. It was the 1st and last time.
