OK, I wanted to like this place... but it was just ok. I ordered the quesadilla with Barbecoa and it came with a salad. The salad was OK but needed a little help on the dressing side. It had nice fresh lettuce(not iceburg) with cucumbers, tomatoes and a very light vinegarette dressing. The quesadilla was fine as far as amount of brisket and cheese. A little on the greasy side! I had hoped for some hot pickled vegetables, sour cream, guacamole, tomatoes or something on the side but that wasn't the case. I guess I am spoiled by places like the Taco Truck L1000000. Taco Cantina was more inviting on the store front level, but the taste of the food is king. I had another concern when at Taco Cantina... I could not find the health score posted anywhere. The licenses were up but no health score. The place looked clean on the customer side which was great. Just left me wondering why it was not posted in plain site. The price seemed a bit high for what you got too. I know prices are going up, but almost $13 for a basic Quesadilla to go, umm I don't know. Another thing I am beginning to dislike... automatic tip coming up on the payment options. It was made difficult to say no tip but assumed the customer would tip with the automatic option as 20%. Look, I like to tip for service, but asking me what I want and calling my name when it is ready is Not a tip situation. When I sit down and am served at a table I gladly tip for good service. I feel like the real wait staffs are getting cheated if I am tipping the same for no service as real service. Covid sympathy / empathy tipping is over... sorry if you disagree. Anyway, Taco Cantina is edible but not remember able. Note: drinks were in bottles in a cooler display verses fountain. Just info for your digestion LOL. Mediocre is the word here!
I am only sharing a picture of my last Asian beef taco because the food is so good, I always forget to take a picture before I start devouring it. My go to is the Asian beef taco, but every taco I’ve had there is amazing (carne asada, chicken, and tinga). I look forward to my food every time I go and always want to bring new people to try this place. Service is normally pretty fast even during “peak” hours. Highly recommend!
I ordered Delicious nachos which came with both shredded and melted queso cheese this is totally unexpected per its location but it really is a great local spot. We’ll be back because the prices were great as well. Cool decor and merch for sale inside. Authentic street tacos and sodas as well as some imported beers.
I came here the other day with my friends and it was great! I got the taco special with the carnitas, al pastor, and chicken. I think my favorite was the al pastor cause it had little tasty pineapple chucks. It also came with rice and beans. Lots of food for just ten bucks! They had three indoor tables, but most people were getting it to go so we were able to sit at a table. They only had bottled drinks, including only bottle water, so bring a water bottle if you don’t want to buy one! The restaurant was located in a strip mall, so there was plenty of parking available
We love this place. Hot delicious food made quickly. The tacos, sandwiches and the salads are some of our favorites. This is one of the few places that does all the things well. I am grateful for Taco Cantina and how I can rely on them to always serve great food! The service is great as the girls behind the register are kind and helpful. All the stars. Thank you TC for what you bring to the Smyrna community!
Excellent tacos and tortas with a super friendly staff. Haven’t had anything I haven’t liked yet and we are now going weekly. I always see the owner at the restaurant and our orders have always been accurate.
Whenever I visit, I always get my favorite dish, the Salmon Quesedela! If you like a clean restaurant that gives quality customer service, fresh, scrumptious, hot cooked food, you have to visit at least once! But I warn you in advance! You will be hooked for life! Thanks for a wonderful experience every time Taco Cantina!
My mom and I went here while in town in Marietta/Smyrna. We do not regret our decision at all!! There’s so many options to eat, from tacos to fajitas to enchiladas, you name it. I got carnitas enchiladas and my mom got nachos with shrimp al Diablo. Very reasonably priced and the food is amazing!!! We love how it’s run by a local family and we’re happy to support them and their work. It would be well worth another trip!
The food was okay, a little pricey for what it was. Tacos were tiny, and $6.50 for chips and salsa is kind of outrageous. When in thinking it was a cheap hole in the wall taco place and ended up spending almost $25 on three tiny tacos, rice and beans, chips and salsa and a Coke.
Really cool spot. Food looks and tastes authentic. The menu is super big and full of options. The tacos are full of fun. Haha I’m only giving 4 stars because I had nachos with my burrito and they didn’t give me any salsa :(
