The server, Kevin, was the best server we have had in a while! Unfortunately, the signature fried chicken was sightings was slightly overcooked. Everything else was great, but the chicken is the centerpiece.

I can't decide what I love most...the delicious, dishes or the superb service staff. I tried the smoked trout dip which was phenomenal. South City Kitchen, Smyrna is one of my favorite brunch spots and I make the trek from the outside the perimeter on the southern side to enjoy the experience.
I made a reservation for a book club meetup with friends. The food and drinks were very good, our server had an awesome personality and contributed to a great experience, and overall we had a wonderful time. It is definitely important to make a reservation, as I overhead the greeter tell a walkin that the wait was over an hour despite it being 15 minutes after the opening time. There was a line before the restaurant opened, likely mostly reservations, and I say that not to deter but to just let you know ahead of time. We sat on the covered patio, which isn't bad if there's a breeze but it did start to feel warmer as the outside temperature climbed. I will also say that the rush died down significantly after 1pm, so perhaps you'd had a good shot stopping by without a reservation if you go for a later brunch.
Kevin was a great server - a lot of fun. Cocktails were delicious, food was above average, chicken was a little over cooked but tasted great.
I love South City Kitchen for a low key, no pressure dinner environment with great food and amazing service. It is perfect for groups of all sizes, as well as intimate date nights.
