I had to wait til the 2nd time I visited to write this, cause just like one of the other folks here I got so excited to try this po'boy the first time that I forgot to take a picture! Absolutely incredible, this sausage po'boy is phenomenal, and while I'm not really a seafood guy, my friend said the same of the shrimp one. Plus, they are so kind here! I expect I'll quickly end up a regular here.
OMG!!!! I tried this restaurant for the first time and my goodness!!!! The food is all that and makes you want to slap your entire family. When you walk in the owners are so very friendly and makes you feel welcome. I’m telling y’all and I said y’all. If your looking for some good tasty food, this is definitely the place to go.\\nYou’ve tried the rest now go and try the best. Thank you ladies for cooking such delicious food. See you soon. I wish I could leave 10 stars?
I really enjoyed my shrimp po-boy and the side of sausage! Yum! And my friend enjoyed the roast beef po-boy too! The fries are excellent. Not everyone can say that (are you listening Wendy's?) I can't wait to come back and try more things!
Everything on the menu is delicious! Love the truly authentic gumbo, which is so hearty and delicious, and the shrimp Po boy is amazing and so tasty! The owners and staff are so genuine and entertaining. Love love this place. I highly recommend.
10/10 will recommend! Had their sexy shrimp po’boy and let me tell you… it was finger licking good - literally. My bf had the roast beef po’boy and he also enjoyed it. Customer service was on point, they were very welcoming and friendly! Will definitely be back to try the red beans and rice and gumbo, along with everything else on the menu. Maybe I’ll remember to take a photo before I devour the food.
These folks are very friendly and they know how to cook. Its hard to find a nice home cooked meal now a days from a restaurant but they knock it out of the park. I had a shrimp poboy. The sauce is amazing. Best collard greens I've had in a while.
I don’t have no photos because that Sexy Shrimp Po Boy did not have a chance for its photo op lol Absolutely enjoyed the Shrimp Po Boy. Flavorful, shrimp was the right texture & size, the bread was nice and buttery, toasted and golden. The Gumbo roux had the right color to it. Gumbo was also flavorful and full of meat, you actually taste the seafood in it like it’s freshly made. The owner(s) we’re so nice. Stacy explained the history of restaurant and Papa Roy on the wall. She was so sweet too little bitty thing but large personality. I hope the food stays consistent as I will be back soon! Praying much success to this establishment.
MY NEW FAVORITE SPOT! The energy you get from Stacy and everyone there is like no other, and the food was so delicious! It was fresh and had the best seasoning. Then, to hear the backstory of Papa Roy’s makes you love it even more. Some of the most genuine people I’ve met and I’ll be going back on a regular basis..because I plan on trying everything on the menu lol
I have been looking forward to Papa Roys opening for a number of months and finally got to go during opening weekend. Great food, prices, service, and atmosphere. Only complaint about the atmosphere would be for maybe a few more tables for dine in but that’s probably already in their plans for the future.Really enjoyed meeting the owners; felt like I was over at their house for dinner! Can’t wait to go back!
Food and service were excellent! We got a shrimp poboy, red beans and rice, gumbo, collards, and hot lemon pepper wings. Zero complaints- everything was delicious and we will be back soon!!
