I invited a couple of friends to meet up after doing community service. I raved about the drinks and wings and that we smoked our cigars & hookah on the patio. Well this Saturday all of that changed. We arrived and had been out on the patio well over an hour drinking and enjoying our smokes when a man walked up. He stated that they don't allow hookahs and we had to put it away. He never introduced himself as the manager or anything. So to keep down confusion we put the hookah away. And one of my guests asked me when did it stop allowing this when we were just here last week doing it. The man who we now know as Mike said you have never done it here. I said sir we have so. He became very combative so I said sir it's OK we put it away. The people on the side of us said something to him about his tone and the manner he was speaking to us. He got ugly with them. One of my guests go up to try to calm Mike. Mike told him that he can't tell him how to talk nor run his establishment. Turned to the waitress and told her to close out our tab that he wanted us to go. So the guests and the table next to us left too. Mike said something very disrespectful words to my guests and my guests asked mike not to disrespect him. Mike became aggressive and my guest asked him again to respect him. Mike said I'm calling the police. On the call with the police mike said , I HAVE A BLACK MAN CAUSING PROBLEMS AT MY ESTABLISHMENT. Sadly, things escalated and we had my guest to walk away to calm down. Mike proceeded to follow them antagonizing them after he asked them to leave. Police came saw it was a hug misunderstanding. Mike asked the cop to file criminal trespassing charges on all of us. But the cop said no they didn't do anything wrong you were rude. Cop told us to leave and don't worry about the bills. THIS WAS THE WORST DAY EVER. SADLY, I GOT TO SEE FIRST-HAND HOW 92% OF BLACK AND BROWN MEN DON'T MAKE IT HOME. I SAW HOW ONE WHITE MAN COULD HAVE CAUSED ANOTHER MAN TO LOOSE HIS LIFE BECAUSE OF HIS RACIST ACTIONS. SIX FREAKING CARS OF POLICE FOR A YOUNG RETIRED VETERAN.. YES A BLACK MAN. I WONDER DO THE OWNER KNOW HOW MIKE TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS. ?
Freaking great vibes loved the crowd. It was a mixture of different people. And the food is freaking amazing. The portion size is amazing. The place then smell like a lot of cigarette which was really good. The drinks were also awesome. Being that they had a very good special going on. And also we played bingo. Which is also amazing. And the person doing bingo was also fantastic very friendly and a people person. Will definitely be coming back. SN: I feel like this place ends racism??
Place is dirty. Suggestion: power wash your patio. Get speakers outside. A customer was playing music from their phone. Cleaned my own table. Waited over 30 minutes to get service ordered drinks never came out. The waitress who took my order saw when I came in she sat down at a table next to us and talked to others for 15 minutes just to eventually come to us and we still waited. Ended up leaving... didn't have anything. Got great food and drinks at Public House 28.
Decent food. Bar was very crowded, loud, and smoke-filled. Not my cup of tea but I imagine for many it works. I liked the chicken tenders.
My son and I had been in the car for over 8 hours. Got to our hotel and checked restaurants near us. This one popped up. Perfect, close and looks like good food. LOL!!!! Got there, was told to seat ourselves so we sat at a table in the bar area. So 1 server and 2 bartenders saw us sit down. 10 minutes later we walked out. NO ONE CAME TO EVEN GREET US! Was willing to get past the fact that there’s still smoking allowed but the bad service sent us on our way. Save your money and find something else.
The wings were great and the service was fast. We didn't know it was Bingo night which was fun and very entertaining. I actually won the first Bingo of the night. Free money isn't so bad since this was my first time eating here. If you're not a smoker I would advise not to eat inside.
Went on a Friday night.....SUPER CROWDED. Don't go if you have COVID concerns. No masks and no social distancing. Very hard to find seating. Took an hour to get my food. For the experience... go through the week when it's a little calmer
Wings are a hit or miss. They fry them too hard sometimes. But they still get 5 stars because parking and entry are free and drinks are always STRONG and cheap.
Great patty melt. And the sour cream and chives potatoes are great
First time visiting this establishment and the vibe was nice. The wings were fried a little too hard to my liking but the service was on point. Our waitress was doing the best she could, with such a huge crowd. I will be back though.
