It waffle house. Same food wherever you go. Still a good meal for the price definitely. The service at this location was good. The kitchen was a bit of a mess but they were semi busy so that's to be expected. Also the location was convenient for people going into savannah for the day from Tybee island.
Look I've worked at waffle House growing up and was never allow to treat anyone that way. We ordered small scrambled cheese eggs and a waffle. They burnt the waffle not once but twice because they where to busy talking to each other.
EXTREMELY rude service. When ordering the employee didn’t even look at us in the eyes once. Then there was an employee who walked out for a smoke break when there was 8 or 9 people in line waiting to order and then came back in to cook without even washing her hands. Then one of the employees dropped a stack of cups on the floor and then picked them up and used them to serve customers.
I took a long uber ride here and they said they are closed
as someone who has worked my entire life in hospitality, i have never left a bad review. i understand the ins and outs of restaurants, especially as if pertains to staffing during and post pandemic.however, the way this particular waffle house operates is just flat out egregious. the online hours claim to be updated, and 24 hours, as most waffle houses are, to my knowledge. this one, and its arrogant (what i assume would be third shift (12am-6am)) employees choose to make their own hours and deny guests as they feel fitthis is the third time in four tries i have gotten off work and tried to go there, and they have chose to lock the doors and deny business and patronage. this particular visit, three employees just rolling their eyes at me through the window as if they could go so far as to be inconvenienced to let me know the official hours… for future referencei would love to help staff this place appropriately. i have the expertise and wherewithal to make that happen. hope to hear back
Pulled up at 840pm and was told only to go orders because they were "about to have a shift change"... in 20 minutes, MAYBE because that group coming in was usually late. Very upsetting because we were on our way traveling and had no where to take our food if we wanted... so we left. Very disappointing when waffle house is a constant that you expect.
This waffle waffle house was absolutely terrible due to the service. I could not hear what the server was saying every time she would speak. It took us 10 minutes or more to get our drinks. Our food came out and instead of her putting our food on the table where it belongs she handed our food and drinks directly to us without silverware before hand. Every time I go to the waffle house the food is good but the service is terrible
There were only two employees at this location and they were very nice. They allowed my sister and me to dine in (we had been driving for a while and needed coffee) even though they were closed for cleaning as they prepared for the next shift to arrive. Sara (the cook) was awesome...she prepared 2 servings of hash browns for my sister and me. That is what customer service should look like. Kudos to these two young ladies.
I specifically wanted to comment on this waffle house. Obviously I've been. To tons of waffle houses, everyone has! But this one has given me not one but two fantastic experiences!! The first one was great service and great food although slammedThe 2nd was today where a single girl professionally took care of us, took the order got all the things I needed AND cooked the food perfectly timed. And she's 23! I'm a Manger of a restaurant and she impressed the hell out of me! Ty for the great dinner!!
oh my how i want to love you waffle house. this location is a short walk from my house but has consistently disappointed. consistently workers will scream “WERE CLOSED!!” at me while hotboxing their car. as a mary jane smoker myself — i get it — but maybe dont SCREAM before i even put my car in park. or maybe the time my partner asked to order a hot chocolate and the waitress said “i dont make adults hot chocolate.” idk im born and raised in the south, sometimes u want the comfort of a waffle house. they say waffle houses would survive the apocalypse, however this one is a consistently a disappointment. want better workers?? UP YOUR WAGES !!!
