The people are friendly. The food is great. Definitely recommend BINGO night on Fridays and the steak and egg breakfast is delicious.
Great food, service and atmosphere!! My teen daughters loved this place! We stopped on our way to Myrtle Beach when we stayed over at the Best Western on Eisenhower, which by the way, was as excellent as the diner!!! So of course, on our way home, we revisited the Savannah area, and stayed at the Best Western again, and also had lunch AND dinner at this lovely dinner!! The two bearded men, the one who cooked, and our waiter, as well as Sarah, the young blonde girl, were excellent in their service!!
Stopped in after looking everywhere for a place to eat. This place came recommended. We arrived around 10:30, open sign on and empty tables. We were rudely greeted with “I’m not taking any more orders.” If they were not going to operate within the posted hours They should turn the open sign off!! Especially when you are the only place open at that time. We had planned to eat here more than once during our stay but we will go where we are welcome!
Awesome, good food, great service and reasonable prices. I shall return. Also 50's music playing.Youtube- Coolest Life
I only go there on Nights but is one of the best atmospheres in town, especially if one needs or wants to bring a child. Ricky The Server is a very nice person and always ready to help customers with their every need. The Cooks market Mark and Juan have excellent cooking techniques and exceptional knowledge of cooking variety of foods including an expertise in Indian cuisine. The owner is probably the nicest lady in town and and has vast knowledge of running many establishments and a long track list of doing so. There is also an executive chef Stephen McClain who is overseeing all operations front and back of house. Overall it's great restaurant great atmosphere and probably the best food on the Southside!
Those who may be reading this…if you live in or around Savanah, if y’all ain’t eating here occasionally, y’all are missing out! “The Diner” has new owners and is now known as “The Palace”….their sign says “The Diner”, but it is soon to be re signed as “The Palace”. “The Diner” harkens back to the “ol school” ‘50’s era diners. Vintage ‘50s and early ‘60s vinyl bar seating and bench seating and wall decor. Era music videos play on two large screen TVs. Menu includes Vegan options to include Vegan Mozzarella cheese sticks, which are good…and I’m a omnivore. Prices are great considering the food is cooked after you order it and very deliciously made! We had breakfast there today and it was so good, we had supper there tonight! BOTTOM LINE…Great prices for the amount and quality of the food you order and the service is great!!
This place definitely needs a facelift. The look of it is a little grimy and unwelcoming, but the food was really good! Much like a waffle house, you see your food being made and can tell it was FRESH. The server we had was super sweet... I wish I remembered her name. Overall, if you're looking for something uncrowded and cheap, I'd recommend trying it out ?
Cool diner. The food was excellent. Philly cheese steak was really good. The food portions were just right. We had pancakes and French toast both with eggs and sausage and everything tasted great.
Stopped in late at night after a long drive from NYC and had such an amazingly delicious burger. They're open late and the staff is very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!
This is everything you could want at a perfect diner. The staff was friendly and accommodating, they had options for vegetarians and vegans (even vegan cheese!), and they had the best French fries I’ve ever eaten—crispy on the outside, yet fluffy on the inside. Our food came out in a quick time and my coffee never got low. This is going to be one of my new favorite spots!
