Vanity was exceptional. The food was fantastic and delicious. My brother had a western omelette that was huge along with pancakes. My daughter had strawberry pancakes with link sausage and I had a traditional sausage, egg and cheese grits with pancakes. The atmosphere was really very relaxing and soothing out on the patio. It was a great way to spend Mother's day and I wish I had been able to take my mom because she would have liked it.
My husband and I just had breakfast here and we ordered strawberry pancakes and the Swedish pancakes with a side of cheesy grits. Everything we ate was extremely delicious! And even though the restaurant was busy, we were waited on immediately. Everyone who interacted with us was very friendly. The prices were also very fair. I would certainly return here again and recommend it to others who visit Savannah.
Positves: the food was ok, the server was very good. Had been there for 8years. Negatives: the cafe was filthy, the restrooms were reminiscent of the latrines in India. There was hair in my food, to top it off.
This is some of the best breakfast food I've ever had! The crab cakes are to die for. We will be making this a regular spot for breakfast dates!
The Cinnamon Roll Pancakes were amazing! I like to try things I don’t make at home, and this fit the bill perfectly. It was so tasty!
The food here is absolutely wonderful. I don’t care that it’s a franchise, they really do a good job of filling you up. Service was quick even though there were quite a few people there for late brunch. Loved my eggs Benedict and hubby had a huge stack of the lightest pancakes he ever ate. He raved about them all thru lunch. Definitely recommend
At The Original Pancake House, I had Bacon and Eggs. Thick sliced bacon and 2 large fresh eggs. It's also served with, your choice of pancakes, potatoes, grits, or toast. I got the potatoes and a side of toast. It was room temp when received, and had an off-putting taste. I couldn't figure out if it was the grease, maybe everything had taken on the taste of something cooked there, or something else completely? The one star is for the bacon, it was cooked like I like. The time from sitting down to getting food was an hour. The service, almost non existent.
Beyond my expectations!! Food was far better than IHOP!! The vibes were bright and airy. The staff were boisterous and efficient!! Will be visiting again and more often.
The Savannah Pancake House is excellent. We always get the French Toast and its delicious. The wait staff are so friendly and the bathrooms are clean! Worth the visit.
This was an enjoyable experience, considering how busy it was on a Sunday. We arrived around 11AM for a late breakfast and got seated in less than our quoted time, despite the busyness. The food was prepared excellently, the servers were all attentive, the bus staff was efficient, and it plain worked like a well-oiled machine. The staff kept their cool and maintained the happiness of the guests as if it was just another day. Do recommend this location. A couple notes: This place is somewhat PEANUT SAFE. If you have a peanut allergy, they do warn that they cook their griddle items on peanut oil, but the oil has been processed/refined so that those with peanut allergies can enjoy most of the crepes and pancakes (not the PB stuff, obviously)! My cousin has an anaphylactic allergy and didn't react to the oil they cook with. Tree nuts, however, is much riskier. On the weekends, avoid the transition between breakfast and lunch (11:30-12:30). We were fortunate to get seated and place our order, but the kitchen had to stop taking tickets and the hostess had to inform people that the wait was TBD because they were so behind/switching between the two.
