This was such an unexpected treat! We looked up vegan places because we wanted some veggies and while it wasn’t quite “light” fare (our waitress warned us too) it was DELICIOUS. Neither my boyfriend or I are vegan but we”ll definitely be back next time we visit Savannah. Thoughtful interior, great service, cozy ambience, and mouthwatering food and drinks. Highly recommended if you’re looking for something different but delicious!
First time here and what a pleasure. Started with a wonderful lychee lemonade and garlic bread. Best bread I have had in a long time. I got the crabby cakes which came on a salad topped with a delicious sauce. Perfectly fixed!Others at the table got the brisket, sandwich and pancakes. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals!
Truly the best vegan food in Savannah.! The chef forages his own mushrooms and his Lions Mane “brisket” Salad was to die for! Great atmosphere! Outdoor seating, indoor seating and dogs are welcomed too! The owner has a deep true passion for fresh food and mushrooms and it shows in every bite!
The customer service was great. The menu was interesting and according to the hostess, it changes week to week as the owner actually forages for most of the ingredients. I ordered the tea, the chickpea pesto toast, and the huckleberry cheesecake. I was pleased with everything, except the Cheesecake. It was mostly the combination of the strong huckleberry taste with the portion size. The beauty of it is that the chef came to the table personally to hear my opinion. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Disclaimer: the menu is heavy on mushroom and cashew... But it works!
This place is incredible. We ate here one night for dinner while visiting Savannah with friends. Everything we tried was outstanding, and we love that everything contains mushrooms. The cheesecake for dessert was amazing too (I love a good vegan dessert that’s wholesomely delicious and not overly loaded with sugar). I think my favorite of all the meals was the mushroom meatball appetizer. However.. by far, my favorite thing they make is actually their lion’s mane mushroom jerky, which we snagged from their booth at Savannah’s first annual Vegfest! They don’t always have it available but make sure you ask next time you’re there (they also sell homemade beetchup and other sauces which are divine). I’ve had a lot of vegan jerky and most is too chewy and hard to eat. These jerky pieces are perfectly seasoned and literally melt in your mouth they’re so tender and easy to eat. An incredible value too for how much is in the bag. The most amazing snack I’ve ever had, I could eat a bag of these every single day! I love supporting a local business that also uses locally sourced or cultivated mushrooms and am SO happy we found The Haunt. Highly recommend and will be back for more food (and jerky) next time I’m in Savannah. My biggest regret of all was not buying about ten bags of that jerky while I could!
Fantastic first meal in Savannah. So much flavors and it’s vegan too!! Amazing find. The drinks are good for your digestive system. Was too full to try their desserts.. maybe next time.
What a wonderful surprise we just had at The Haunt. Friends told us about how good it was and it was beyond excellent. You have to have the Cashew Cream Garlic Bread!! It comes with a red pepper sauce that I licked off my fingers until it was sadly gone. We both had the Burger and fries. The fries are cooked to perfection with a dusting of Parmesan . The burger was excellent as well. My first non meat burger and I was pleasantly surprised. What a great restaurant. Innovative menu and wonderful combinations of flavors. We had the lychee dragon fruit lemonade. Wonderful. And the service was attentive and friendly. This restaurant is a must visit.
What a wonderful dining experience. Eating vegan isnt always easy so when you happen on a restaurant dedicated to vegan entrees you have a win! This was delicious. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Prices were moderate and the food was superb.
Had the best time here tonight. The garlic cheese bread is maybe the best thing I’ve ever had. My mom got the lobster mushroom mac and cheese which was incredible. I got the bolognese which was so tasty. And the huckleberry cheesecake was to die for. The decor is stunning, staff is friendly, chef/owner was welcoming and so talented. We had the best time
It is rare for us to say about most restaurants, but The Haunt in Savannah has both great food and great customer service. The staff was overly friendly in helping navigate the menu. I ordered the Stir-fry Alfredo and my hubby ordered the burger & fries. We nibbled from each other's plate and it all tasted delectable. We wished we had known about this little gem sooner and we look forward to visiting again.
