The service was too notch. We had the schnitzel and fish croquettes as well as the butterscotch pudding. Everything was delicious and the manager, Louisa, was phenomenal. She even arranged for us to get a picture with John! We left with full stomachs and huge smiles. Can’t recommend enough

Great dining experience. The food was excellent

Natalie was fantastic. Crab stuffed beignets are amazing. we got right in with no wait. A must visit in Savannah.

After seeing The Grey featured on the CBS show Sunday Morning, we were intrigued by their story. We were fortunate to get reservations, 2 months out, for the dinning room experience. We had the three course meal experience and each selection was unique and very well prepared. I must say the crawfish etouffee was out of this world and the squash dish was excellent....never thought I'd say that. The cocktails were great as well as the service. A must experience if you enjoy wonderful food.

We were a party of 14 and found the food and service to be excellent. Anyone who has ever been in a large group knows how difficult it can be for the staff to handle the drink and dinner choices but this was handled with great skill here. The meal was very good and I was well pleased by the entire experience. Highly recommended.

Hands down one of the best restaurants meals and experiences I’ve ever had. The place is well worth the hype (I didn’t know it was featured on Chef’s Table until I got there) and the price.I got the three course tasting menu (Sea) with the wine pairings and let me tell you…it was PHENOMENAL. I was hesitant about the second wine pairing (a Pinot Noir with fish) but it was incredible. The service was too notch (the bartenders are extremely knowledgeable and give you just the right amount of attention) and the ambiance was jovial and relaxed. 10/10 highly recommended!

The ambiance, food and servers are great. But it took about 2 hours to complete our dinner with long gaps in between courses. Food is creative and delicious. The room is fun and lively. Servers are friendly and informative. Very interesting wine list. Overall you should go - but need to tighten up on the timing of the meal.

We had brunch for the first time at the Grey yesterday and it was really good. We have been for dinner and cocktails previously and it’s always been good. For brunch they had a little jazz band playing in the main room which added some fun ambiance. The crab beignets are awesome and a must try! Everything we picked though was great. If they have any form of buttermilk pie on the menu make sure you save room for dessert.

My wife and I saw the documentary on The Grey on Chefs Table and put it on our bucket list. Well we made it on 05/20/22. We were told they were booked for the weekend but to still come and we could see if there was availability. We got in line at 4:54 they opened the door at 5. We thought we would not get seated but got a spot at the bar. We went with the 3 course meal but first had amazing fresh bread with smoked olives. The bartender/ waiter Andy helped us navigate the menu. Natalie got us our drinks. Both were very informative of the whole experience. I had, mackerel, smoked carrots and the smoked Lamb. Lisa had the beets, leeks and the orange chicken, we then shared the burnt orange ice cream with a chocolate cake. The food was amazing, then to our surprise and amazement, chef owner Mashona Bailey and owner John Morisano came into the restaurant and ended up sitting next to us at the bar. They were very approachable and we had a very nice conversation with them. So totally worth the stop bucket list ✔️ checked!!

It's with great disappointment to write that I was incredibly underwhelmed by the dining experience at The Grey. I'm a big foodie so I planned a trip to Savannah after watching the episode on Netflix about Mashama Bailey and was so inspired by her story that I made it a priority to come eat here. However, there were a couple of things that went wrong that shouldn't have, especially at such a well respected restaurant like this. We began seating by the front bar and ordered fish croquettes and some drinks. While the appetizer was good, the sauce fell flat. I also ordered a mixed drink and had to return it because it did absolutely nothing for me, so I decided to play it safe and order a rose Muga instead, thinking surely wine is the safe way to go. To my surprise, the wine was super luke warm. At this point I'm trying to understand if it's a lack of training or if it's normal in Savannah to not chill rose's or white wines. I let the waiter know after he asked but I decided to keep it just in case my third drink was also a mistake. After 30 minutes, we're moved to the dining area. It's a truly beautiful restaurant and we were sat by the bar area where Natalie was serving. I explained to her what kind of drinks I like and she made me one that was SUPERB. Major shoutout to her, she was incredibly sweet and truly heard what I was telling her regarding my taste in liquor and she absolutely nailed it. Finally, things seemed to go right. We ordered the WATER tasting course and even thought it was good, it wasn't anything that I'll remember forever. The swordfish was really under-seasoned and the tuna appetizer was just ok. The only thing we truly enjoyed was the shrimp risotto and the chocolate cake we got for dessert. The bill came out to be around $200 and we walked out of there feeling like "ehh"...we had a MUCH better dinner at The Public Kitchen where every single one of our dishes made us go like "oh my God, this is AMAZING" and only for around $80 for 2 people. Nevertheless, I'm glad I visited The Grey and had that experience but unfortunately won't be recommending it to anyone in the future.
